I guess it's not super impressive, but geared right it pulls ...

I would like to see how it would compare on The Jerry at 28,000 RPM's.

The KV is pretty high yet the amp draw is under 3 amps. Seems odd to me that you're running such a low FDR. I ran 3.71 FDR with my G4R in 21.5 TC at 180 Raceway last weekend.

Yeah I am a bit overgeared. Most other racers are at 3.4fdr to 3.5fdr, but they run 64p with the newer motors instead of 48p like me. I have less gearing options but more durability for the spectacular crashes I sometimes can't avoid...I will be testing 3.328fdr to 3.64fdr in the upcoming races...

Here's my review of the Team Powers V6S on The Jerry. I will have to admit, I may have found my new favorite motor.

Would you say I would notice the difference in the g4r 17.5t and the latest team powers motor?

I've cooked my g4r a few times to the point it's had a burning smell so I'm thinking now is time to upgrade

if you cooked a G4R then you will do the same to the Team Powers V6. How were you gearing the G4 and how much can timing did you have it set to?

I can't remember now but it's all sorted, motor comes off a nice temp after a 5 minute run.

I'm just wondering basically if I had a new g4r and a to v6s would the v6s be much better?

I also found out that my A700 gd2 gear diff was leaking on my diff bearings, slowing the car down a bit...I've got to seal it with the rubber balls after a rebuild...8k diff fluid can slow down the car by alot. I will try 15k and seal it good...Cheers....

I just posted the test results for the HW G4R Black motor. This is the Team Edition. I think the TP V6S is going to have its hands full with this new HW motor.

Here's the link. I'm blown away how much better the motor performed after tuning it on the Load Master.

So,
Matty G commented on my video. He said he tunes the motors at 46* for 1S racing.

He said with timing in the 30s, running 2S off road that the motor didn't "pull" under load. I kinda take that as the motor peaking sooner, which makes sense, while at 46 degrees the motor will pull for longer. And that amp draw between the 2 on the track was similar. I still plan on trying both to see for myself.

I'm really anxious to see what the difference is. When you get the motor back, can you time your laps and check the motor temps? Also, gearing is going to be pretty important. You might want to gear it to meet the pulling speed and/or temp. Puling is slower, when the timing is lower? Doesn't dropping the timing provide more pulling speed? Quote me if I'm wrong, but when I needed to more punch, I would drop my timing.
