did anyone tried already the steel chassis on mtc3?
WeiRC makes one, their products are very good (I have couple 1.5mm alu chassis for the mtc2r as well as carbon for the 800r), just wondering what the benefit vs the alloy could be

Parts, I would think the various Mugen springs as they are very short and no one makes some that fit yet, a front and a rear arm, sway bars, ball cups, some spare turnbuckles, a spare belt, some diff o-rings, shock x-rings and bladders. If you want to play with cutting the top decks, then extra of those too.

Btw, compared to other cars the MTC3 likes smaller spurs, from 80 to 96 teeth, I'm currently using Axon spurs as they are a direct fit, RW and Xray spurs work too.

I like it a lot! (I have an Iris One.1, soon to be One.2, and I've had Serpent touring cars in the past.) I've only begun racing though... and no races yet, just practice on the track.
Having said that, I'm really enjoying working on this car. Everything lines up so nicely. A lot of these kits look very similar, but from what I've seen, the MTC3 has some meaningful differences in the graduated/shim-less upper arm and shock mounts. Not saying it's groundbreaking, but in a world where so much is the same, little things as that become food for decision making. I for one like it. Another difference is the body mount. When I left RC, all body mounts were vertical. Came back, and now rear body mounts can be horizontal. I haven't tried the horizontal-through-the-body mounts yet, but the MTC3's internal mount system works well, and is something else that I have not seen on other cars yet.
As a complete track noob, and starting with the car zeroed, I was able to churn consistent (however under-paced) laps essentially out of the box.
I'm really enjoying it, thanks for not asking me directly

I have been loving the car so far on mod asphalt. The car is the fastest I have ever seen in tight low speed corners. It rotates predictably and locks in on exit like no other.
Durability is fantastic. I was driving like an idiot and caught the rumble strip in the sweeper sending the car cartwheeling the entire span of the track. The car still finished the run and was minorly out of alignment.
Only parts I would recommend for asphalt is the 4.75 springs for the front, KPA really woke up the front end of the car, and a gauge to properly set up stops and droop is key.
