My cover was printed with PETG by a chap I found online offering 3D printing services. I paid $10 CAN to have him do this one piece for me. All 4 holes needed to be opened and I used a small file for that and checked often to make sure the self-tapping screws fit easily. The rear of the cover needed the radius enlarged a bit for a better fit, and the arc front and rear were very rough and I smoother those with my Dremel and a sanding wheel. The recessed mounting hole on the right rear did not line up with the chassis and I had to enlarge that one recess substantially before it would tighten down. The part isn't a substantial structural piece, but it does hold the bearing for the rear shaft so that is where I did my best to make sure the bearing held firmly. There was lots of fluff and thin hairs inside and out that I scraped away with an Xacto chisel blade.

I may try to print another. Since everything is close, I may try to scale up a hair or two to see if it makes any difference. I'll try to remember to get a pic of it fresh off the printer. There is a good amount of cleaning up the part when printing with support and such.
I've been printing primarily in PLA, But will be grabbing some PETG soon, And am going to get into designing stuff as well. I have a few one-off pieces I'd like to make.

The last of my chassis upgrades arrived today and were quickly installed. I am now waiting to receive my 25.5 brushless motor to finalize the setup. The tires will be replaced with a set of Gravity RC USGT tires if I can find some, and the ones I installed are vintage tires and rims from my TC3. I think that the white & blue contrast looks good.

Man I wouldn't mind a white chassis at all lol.
So I've got the 911 Carrera RSR 251mm body. I'm wanting to do a drift build but want to keep it kind of like a real 911 with the motor in the back. Was looking at the DT02 but looks to be far too much to convert.
What other RWD rear motor mounted chassis did Tamiya have? Want to steer clear of the M-chassis as I would like to be able to swap wheels between this chassis and the TT02s. Also I feel like front steering angles would be better without the front diff area left from converting a TT to RWD.

Threw together a little Christmas drift video (more of a power sliding video as this is the AWD chassis).
Hope you all enjoy!
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, whichever you prefer!

Hi all, I’m building a TT02 from spares for display purposes. Will not be a runner. I have everything I need except the white nylon bearings. I looked all through my stash even for bad bearings and came up dry.
I need 8 of the 10x5s.. please PM me if you have them in your parts box

Hey guys, looking to see if anyone happens to have a set of the 911 headlight buckets? It's for the 911 Carrera RSR body. I can use two AA Maglite reflectors, but they need a fair bit of trimming.
I'm unable to find any websites or listings with them.
Thanks!
