Default Glow plugs

With novarossi going out of business and all my engines being ... novarossi. I will be running os plugs now. Is it safe to say that the hot plug P3=ct5 and coldest plug rp8 = ct8?

Hey guys! Not trying to spam the forum as I posted a question in the off-road nova forum, but received no response. Doesn’t anyone have information on a Max power 07999 rod and can it be used in novarossi engines? Looking for a replacement for an R7 rod, some European websites list it as an R7 alternative or for use in novarossi engines as well. My novarossi p5xlt shares the exact same bore and stroke as all the high end Max power engines, which as far as I know are all novarossi based. Does anyone have concrete answers on this? Thank you I’m advance, love this forum.

rp7 = ct8 = from 10 to 35-40 Celsius degrees.
rp6 = ct7 = if colder
rp8 = ct9 = if very hot

Thanks, I had been wondering about this. How about using a Picco P7TC on a Nova engine? P7TC ~ CT8?

Hey there,

I am trying to fix up my novarossi keep-on .12 motor.
It needs a new conrod and bearings.
What kind of bearings and conrod does it use? the novarossi website is down so I never got a chance to look. And where could I buy bearings from?
Thanks

Here is a link to the exploded view of the motor. Should be easy enough to look up the parts if anyone has them in stock.

Default Novarossi Top Elite 21 On Road 9 Port

Hello!

I am getting back into nitro this summer, and will be running my Inferno GT2 cars for some parking lot racing.

Absolutehobbyz has a great deal on the Novarossi Top Elite .21 9 port on-road motors ($240/unit), and I was planning on picking one up to try this season.
  • Does anyone have experience with this motor?
  • If so, what off-road pipe combo will work best?

I've got an Ofna 086 pipe that I run on all motors, will this suffice?.. or am I in danger of damaging the motor with this pipe combo?

Any advice is helpful.

Thank you!

Hey there,
I am trying to clean my motor, ive gotten as much of the baked on foam off from the tires using a brush and 99% iso alcohol.
I saw a method for pipes to put them in a crocpot with antifreeze and the results were spotless (youtube video).
Would this be worth trying? or is there any other methods too (for heatsink and engine block)
Thanks

Crockpot and antifreeze is by far the best method I have used. Takes some time but works great.

Don't do it in the house, the fumes from it are toxic. Advantage of a slow cooker/crockpot as heating isn't always on. I use a slow cooker for mine on a low heat for 24 hours. Take out about half way through and give a brush using an old toothbrush and put back in.
