Thanks for the response. I was actually implying why is there a 2-price system? I understand each decision on their own, but combined it doesn't work well together.

I feel Tekno should get rid of the 1/2 price replacement policy, as it undercuts buying locally and it's weird and unnecessary to sell both 1/2 price parts (with trade-in) and full price parts. This would hurt me personally, but I think it's better for the whole industry in the long run. Just my feedback anyway.

One of the biggest selling points to me for TEKNO is the 50% Lifetime Warranty, it would be really nice if the dealers could offer this service too, because extremely high shipping rates are what got me to stop sending parts in and I've switched brands because of this. What I mean with this statement is that I paid $9 to ship broken parts to TEKNO (for warranty claim), but was charged $37 in shipping for the same parts back... I contacted CS to identify the discrepancy and was promised to get a credit for the difference, so I placed the order and was only credited $16, so was still charged $21 for shipping (plus the original $9 it cost to ship the parts to TEKNO)... facepalm

The current brand that I am running charges me $6.50 flat shipping (one way), regardless of the size of the order
Many places will also offer free shipping on orders over $100.

Regardless, the whole issue with shipping could be eliminated if Dealers would be able to process the warranty claims.

That's great if you live near the West Coast, I live half way across the continent, and I can only imagine how much more expensive shipping costs are for folks on the East Coast!

Maybe it's not practical for all dealers to accept warranty claims, but having a handful of "authorized dealers" to process warranty claims in various regions will help ease the sting on shipping rates which are guaranteed to increase year after year

The bigger problem for me is that the formulas used to calculate shipping are grossly inaccurate (overcharging the consumer), and we are forced to pay for more expensive priority shipping when there are parcel post options available for less than half of what TEKNO is charging.

Pulling my truck out for the first time in over a year. I am running carpet and put some setup on it that was very edgy. Should I just go back to the box stock set up or is there a good carpet set up? I did the shocks on front of the arms.

The only mistake on the sheet is that the front and rear tires are flipped.

I am hopping back into the hobby after about 5 years off. Previously I have only run 1/8th scale. The track closest to me has a growing mini-truggy class and am thinking about picking up this kit. What is the hot "high-end" esc/motor/servo setup for this truck/class? I have always thought 1/10th truggy could be super fun and am excited to get into it.

Check what the track runs first.... our baby truggy class is spec with 10.5 motor

There is not motor limit for the mini truggy class.

It's seems like a lot of people prefer the Hobbywing XR8Sct with a 4300kv or a the Tekin RX8 with a Pro4 4600kv. For servo, run whatever full size servo you want of your preferred brand that has at least 200oz/in. For batteries again your preferred brand.

Excellent items. I personally like the HobbyWing 3100kv. I run it at 85%. But our track is not large.
