The new receiver from FlySky came today. It says FGr4 V2 on the outside and it's a newer hardware version (1.5 instead of 1.4) on the inside. It also says the voltage range is 3.5V to 12V rather than 3 5V to 18V on the non V2 ones I had.

I'm not sure when I'll be using it since I already put the smaller FGr4S receiver in my ebuggy so both cars have that now.

Under system settings go to USB and set it to "Noble emulator." Then just plug it in with a micro USB cable at the base.

Ran the NB4 all day today for practice. I now have the little FGr4S receiver in my nitro and my ebuggy. Everything worked great and I had plenty of battery left at the end of the day. Great performance. I made a lot of use of the timer to make sure I came in for fuel in time.

FlySky sent me a V2 version of the FGr4 receiver that I had trouble with. I haven't had a chance to test it yet as the ebuggy I put it in has a dead ESC.

So it looks to me this radio is a true winner? im thinking about getting it to try it out as im tired of paying $500 + for Radios This thing has caught my eye for some time I used to race with the older flysky gtb3 years ago it was ok but when I changed back to futaba I could defiantly tell a difference in speed.

I tested the new V2 FGr4 receiver at the track for practice yesterday with no issues. I'll be racing with it on Saturday so that'll be a true test with 10+ radios going at once.

The radio worked great today at the races. Both my FGr4s receiver in my nitro and the V2 FGr4 in my ebuggy. The battery barely drained all day and that was without recharging the handle 18650 cell with the base battery.

has anyone had any issues with the smaller receiver?
I have been getting short periods where i lose steering and throttle control.
sometimes it happens for a few seconds, sometimes its just a second.
Ive got 4 of the small ones, and on one of them it happens a lot, and on another one, it has happened a few times.

never ever had any issues with the micro ones, we run two radios and probably 6 micro rx.
The original bigger rx's had issues.

I have two of the small receivers that I've used a lot with no problems. I only had trouble with the original (not V2) large receivers.

by some chance is this all happening at the same track or location?
is it all in the same car? are you jamming a heap of wires into a small box with the rx?
its honestly worth the time cutting wires shorter etc to have less in the box.
are you Browning out the rx with two high powered servos on a low input voltage?

Please let us know what you end up finding, curious...
in nitro im running 2s lipo with two 2282sg servos and not had an issue?
ebuggy is a xr8sct with a savox 1267sg on 7.4v from esc.

rest are in bashers.

Good news: I have confirmed with FlySky that a new firmware update is going to be released this week or next week that fixes some bugs and adds some features. In particular (to me) it fixes the USB bug that made control drop out if you used the NB4 with your PC for VRC.

Nice.

I'm still looking forward to the mysterious blue tooth module. Any word on that?
