I end up buying bulk m3 machine screws off of ebay every so often. It's not a lot of money to get all the screws you might need.

sweet $15 plus shipping doesn’t bad. not like tt02 type s titanium screws that’s like about $44-$55 bucks depending where you get them.

If you're gonna do it, do it right:
Amazon Amazon

you'll need some countersunk too...
Amazon Amazon

Really though, I go with ebay, and buy the exact kinds I need.

Stainless always goes "soft" and tears under load.

Magnetic bits also do not grab stainless steel screws.. which makes it more of a hassle in tight areas

You have to to go with Tamiya 53792 if you want to use original Tamiya parts. 54515 will not fit TT-02 RR machine, they are too long.

Regards

would you also have to buy the cup joint to fit the universal shafts?

Default Not necessary...

...Kit stuff works fine with the universals.
But you can upgrade the grub screw secured wheel axles with spring fixed ones. (Tamiya Part number 54623)

Default Need rear downforce

Looking to get a new body with lots of downforce in the rear. I can only use a Tamiya TT-02 body, and can't add rear wings. Anyone know which one would have the most, or what I should be looking for?

Check out the Raikiri Body from Tamiya. Comes in box stock form so you should be good to use it.

The kit tires tamiya 51049 medium compound are good for what surface carpet or asphalt. Rather use them up on practice days than have them sitting in a box

They're ok for ashphalt.

No good for low-grip carpet.
