Sanwa MTS Radio

I have no personal experience what effect this will have on an esc.
I Had a brand new unit that I could not program the fail safe for the throttle servo.
Found this VR Adjustment way off for both steering and throttle.
Set it up per the manual and automagically everything worked as it should.
Since then I have checked every radio in front of the customer when new out of the box.
They have been all over the place.

My mts needs to be retired, the screw that holds the base together in front on the batt tray tore through now i need a ziptie around the base to keep the batt door and batt from just falling out. It lasted Probably 3-4000 hours and three seasons bit sadly i cant seem to find a replacement shell for the radio.

As far as I can tell, the 48x and 47x are still the top of the line models in the range(aside from the new RX-491 for the M17) and will all support SHR, SSR and SSL support for compatible Sanwa servos and ESC’s, if you’re deep in the Sanwa ecosystem. I’m using the 482 that came with mine and it’s been solid. I think the only real benefit to the 47x series is the aerial for nitro use and for larger tracks and extend distance runs.

Can someone clue me in on where to find the serial number on the radio so I can send in the warranty card? I think someone mentioned it being the IC or FCC number on the side of the radio but if someone can confirm that, that would be great. I emailed Desoto Racing what I thought were the pertinent details, but haven't heard back from them.

I'm going to build a second kit, and wanted to be sure I had something right. One, I wanted to verify that I can pair the mts with second reciever without losing the first. Additionally, can I have a second set of epa's, trims etc for the second vehicle...again without losing all the adjustments from the first vehicle. Thanks .

Yes as long as you program it in and bind it as your second model, you will not lose any settings to your first. They will be stored as a 2nd model. And from there you can continue until your model memory is full.
