Anyone know if this radio fits in the mt4 JC foam case?

tsair 04-18-2016 09:17 PM

I can't imagine it would fit without modification, that shape is pretty different. Is it FHSS-3/FH4T only?

It appears to be yes.

That explains why the MT4-S don't show on amain anymore and show as ''out of stock'' on airtronics website.

Vid for those interested:

Not bad, I guess it's intented to be some sort of a replacement for the MT4-S?

I don't really see where the improvements are as far as the tx is concerned at firts glance...just different packaging and looks like somewhat a bit lesser quality. Personally still prefer my MT4-S.

What I like though is the lower price point and the fact that it now comes with 2 rx (internal antenna above all) so knowing how much the new rx do go for, at that price point this new package is something to consider.

I think it's actually intended to replace the MT-4. The MT-4 is being discontinued, but the MT-4S remains.

Good news for the MT4-S if that's the case then, thanks for the info.

Anyone have one by chance. Glad to see a thread started on this. I will be keeping an eye at Banzai to order one. Miss having a wheel radio.

Mine should be here tomorrow. Amain had them last week.

I'm interested too in getting some feedbacks about this radio.
The MT4S seems to be hardly available since the MTS was announced...

My DX3S is giving me some problems and I'm slowly willing to switch to a better radio.

Solid radio for the price. My son has only used it a couple times but its been great...plus it uses the same receivers as my M12s which is good.

I beleive it has all the software features of the mt4s and has a better UI for the sanwa esc programming. Labels settings, instead of the code aux stuff. How is the feel of the switches and buttons?

They feel pretty good...not as precise as the M12s but for the money its great. I got mine from Banzai and it comes loaded with Japanese as the default language for menus. It took me a few minutes but found the menu for English. The manual is in Japanese as well so be warned. Most of the settings are universal though.

lanac 05-09-2016 12:51 PM

Is it the equivalent of a MT4S or does it feel cheaper ?
I'm also tempted by a 4PLS but the MTS is more recent, the receivers are more compact and it looks to be the best bang for the bucks of the moment.
I think Futaba won't be too long to release a 4PLS successor...
