Great. I just wanted to check. Thank you.

Weird question...Anyone ran the DE wheels (AE T5) on this truck? I bought some and glued up some tires over the weekend and had trouble getting the wheel to mount on the truck. It feels like the tolerance either on the hex itself or the hole for the axle is way too tight. I wasn't sure if anyone else had this issue?

The club in my area has a 100' straight and I'm very happy with a 20T pinion with the Novak NX4-3900KV 4 pole motor, temps come off the track around 130°F with an ArndtCraft shroud

I've been running a HW V10 G3 10.5 motor with a 17 tooth pinion. This motor is rated at 4800kV, which is a good bit higher than most 10.5s. This is still a bit slower than I'd like on the straight, but I didn't like the bottom end with larger pinions. 20 tooth should be about right for most 10.5 motors.

I'm running 2 washers on the steering stops with 0° front toe, 97% D/R, 97% S/S and 60K in the front diff, car feels great probably the easiest I've ever had the pleasure to drive, some of the faster drivers prefer more steering when they test drive my truck, but I like to drive full lock and use throttle to control my angle of attack in the sweepers.
I knew it was a risk... anyway I couldn't be happier with my Novak NX4-3900KV with a 20T pinion. Motor temps were coming off the track consistently at 133° with a cooling fan. I would qualify about 11 seconds behind a local pro driver which made me feel pretty good. There were five 4WD Trucks mixed in with three 2WD Trucks, so I would start #3 on the grid, and the main would turn into a battle of attrition. The #5 driver stripped out the threads on a ball cup on his 4th lap. The #4 driver stripped a servo gear on his lucky 13th lap. I would end up in the #3 spot where my solder joint melted off at the negative lead on the ESC from the battery just when I finished my 15th lap. The ESC was barely warm to the touch which makes me think it was just a sloppy solder joint that eventually popped off over time... this was from wiring that had been done 2 cars ago when I used the iron at the track with fans blowing in the pit room and I was too lazy to go back and do it right at home... #rookymistake
Anyway, here's a clip of yesterday's main for those interested in watching these trucks battle it out on turf, oh and I'm the only one running SCT wheels:

after having more issues with the tenshock motor, i'm done. i have a reedy m3 6.5 coming and also have the 13.0 torque rotor coming. right now i have a 9.5 in it which is plenty for the small indoor track. our bigger outdoor covered track is due to open and the 6.5 will be put through it's paces there and the other outdoor track in my area.
I did get another follow-up from RCJuice, they explained that after reviewing my order history with them, they would offer me a store credit after returning the used motor back to them. That was really nice of them, they said this is not their normal policy but I guess they considered all the LiPo's and Motor's I've been buying from them probably demonstrate that I know how to care for these electronics... considering this is the first time I've had an issue within anything of the 9 orders I've placed to date with them.
I should've put the SC211 on the motor analyzer before I soldered it up, but I was in a hurry at the time. I decided to pull some readings after 1 race day and this is what I got with a comparison to the Novak NX4:

Although the sensor board checked out, I could rotate the shaft and see all 3 sensor lights show a good reading, the analyzer could only read the timing on 2 of the 3 phases and would error out after several attempts to get an "average" timing reading. There is definitely something wrong with the motor, this will be the last time I ever drop a motor into a car without first checking everything out on the analyzer!

same from what i described before where they didn't seem to play well with the reedy 510r. so i put my old V3 with the 5200 version and there was a hesitation on throttle. that was enough. i'm done with them. temps were fine.
so my story with RCJuice was that I ordered the 4400kv version while i was waiting for my truck. truck got here and 18 days after i bought the motor, i decided that i wanted the 5200 instead. i sent them an email asking if i could ship them back the unsoldered/unused motor and swap it for the 5200 and that i would pay for the return shipping in addition to the shipping cost to get it back to them. i heard nothing from them. 11 days later i sent them another email asking the same thing. they emailed me back saying that they would do it, but would charge me a 20% re-stocking fee. now i know they were under no obligation to do this as under the terms of their return policy it states 10% before 14 days. re-stocking fee? like it's a 200lb washing machine that has to go back in a spot in a warehouse. i know they run it out of their garage. "re-stocking fee" is just a way to gouge the customer. 10% i was willing to do as there is some labor to box it and ship it. there was also the fact that my original email was ignored. they also ignored two more follow up emails i sent them. never again with them. too many other retailers willing to make the customer happy.

Oh man, that's a tough call, I kinda see both sides on the re-stocking fee... only reason I feel the restocking fee is appropriate is for them to recover the initial expense of the free shipping they offer, but yeah, bumping up from 10% to 20% is kinda strange so I totally feel your frustration there. I would personally chock it up to losing more than the 20% fee if I tried to re-sell the motor elsewhere. I'm thinking RCJuice is probably a step above Integy in that at least you can get someone from RCJuice to respond, even if it takes a few days. I've had 2 times where I had to open a dispute through PayPal to get resolution with Integy where in both cases it was Integy's fault for sending the wrong item or had missing parts. I guess it comes with the territory when you try to save some cash with a budget distributor, then there are sacrifices that are made to customer service <shrug>. As far as their HobbyStar (Rocket) branded electronics go, I've been pleased with their quality, unfortunately they don't offer a 540 4-pole any higher than 3300KV through RC Juice, however I did spot a 3900KV motor here which I believe is from the same OEM:

That's going to be the motor I plan to try next if the Novak NX4-3900KV starts to give me any problems.

2S-100C-5.6Ah-HV --> run this in my EB410 with a 13.5T Trinity Punisher Motor
2S-100C-8Ah-HV --> run this in my SCT410 with a HobbyWing 3660-4000KV Motor
4S-100C-5.2Ah --> rotate 4 of these packs between my EB48 with a 4268-2200KV motor and my ET48 with a 4274-2000KV motor
What I have learned is that's you can get some really good deals from RCJuice if you wait to buy their products on promotional deals, take today (Halloween) for example they are running a 10% site wide discount for orders $100+, I would recommend getting on their email distro to get all the flash sales too.
