What I noticed when people have this issue is they got the screw in too tight. (the screws that go inside the pivot balls and screw into the camber inserts)

I have aluminum pivot balls and the aluminum camber inserts so I can torque them down more and it will still allow the arm to move smooth. Just be careful with the stock all plastic setup since its easy to over-torque it and cause binding.

Dan, are the aluminum pivot balls an Xray part? I didn’t see it in the manual.

Radtec makes them (same company as Roche). I wouldnt be surprised if the Roche F1 pivot balls are the same.

Absolutely the same albeit Radtec are a bit cheaper. Much better choice than the original plastic balls.

Red RC ? RC Car News » Xray pan car gear differential sets

The Xray gear diff is finally here. Probably a lot lighter than the Fenix diff.

If it does not leak, it's going to be a winner!

I’m building a new kit, got the radtec balls. Four of them are really tight inside the plastic cups. Any tips to free those up? Pinching them with pliers may be tricky.

Use your reamer to slightly open the holes in the carbon arm.

Its 39,5g ready to run. The original part is 36g.
Absolutely worthwhile upgrade. This time the promotional text is fully justified!!

The balls are tight in the plastic cups, I don’t have them in the arm yet.

Then they may be free enough with the weight of the arm/suspension on them, install them in arm. I never had any issues running the radtec balls in my xray, when I had it.

And it is only $80 too...which is pretty reasonable when you start adding up the cost of replacement rings, diff balls, thrust bearing, etc over time..
