I just had one split there and it cost me a shaft and few other things thank goodness not my esc.

It’s a weak spot from how the piece was molded

Had my first race night for a couple of years last night, so naturally ran the FTTC4, running 13.5 blinky, missed the tq by 1.7sec but car was decent, think I might have to make a few new parts for it now like top deck/towers, maybe even a new chassis!

You should have a look at the Kaizen conversion kit.

I had a spare crap roller laying around so I decided to see what I could do with it and all the spare parts/shocks/chassis etc I had laying around. Not too shabby I might say. I think I’ll sell it and lean off some bench space with the rest of the parts I have laying around haha

How hard was it to get the TC7 suspension on to the KFR? Still using the tc4 steering rack?

That looks great!

It actually all fit if you have the aluminum arm mounts. You cant adjust wheelbase any longer because the TC7 arms are wider. I have about millimeter of play on front so I will shim the front arms back. Currently its about 3 mm longer the my 7.1 but I may mill a millimeter off the arms to move them forward. Waiting on shocks and then testing can begin. I tried to use the TC3 rack but it didnt have enough throw to go full lock. The TC4 is narrower then the TC7 so I will probably add a 1 millimeter to each side to get it closer. The arms are almost the same length. The other issue is axle pins are a little smaller. Probably wont be an issue but if it is, 2 solutions. First one is to sleeve the pin with some brass tube. The other is to mill the outdrives so I can use the AE blades on it. Also could press the pins out drill the axle and press tc4 pins in. The other issue is sway bar end links are different but TC7 ends will work. I have them on order also. This is gonna be my USGT car, my fun class as I call it since I also run 17.5 sedan.

I was TQ and won the A-main again today and my results are below. I am the only racer running a 25.5 in keeping with the new VTA rules. All others ran a 21.5 while my club transitions to the new rules.
Race #3 yesterday with the Yeah Racing shocks but now with different O-rings in the shock lower end. The change in O-ring made the shocks much smoother and the car was a bit better again. I took TQ and the A-main win again. I am still running the 25.5 motor while others ran 21.5 motors. My club will allow the 21.5 motors this indoor season but next year we must all run 25.5.

I did have a steering rack snap as the VTA class tends to be a bit rough at times. I was unlucky and after taking the win in qualifier #2, and having parked my car in what I thought was a safe area, another racing came ripping through and crashed into my car breaking the steering rack. Looks like I might have to invest in an aluminum replacement. I only see the GPM parts online. Does anyone else have other recommendations?

My results are below.

Craig - what square arm mount are you running? It doesn't look like the ASC31066 part.

The kit looks really nice and I have been following it on here, but I am going to go a slightly different direction than the Kaizen kit, I have had a few ideas floating around for the TC4 for a while, and since I have the facilities to make the parts in house I am going to go forward with it now that I am racing again
