Interesting... the stock setup is the starting point for most of us. It's both smooth and fast (although it could use a bit more turn-in in some cases I find). The car does feel great box-stock, at least rubber on carpet (dunno foams, sorry).
May I respectfully suggest you thoroughly check the mechanical integrity of your car and the assembly overall (nothing binding, everything symmetric, electronics setup properly with no crazy non-linearities, ...)? Although, given your sign-up date (you're an old fart like me it seems) I would tend to think you know how to build a car by now
I honestly believe xray's bone-stock setups are the best of the market... that's a big part of the xray appeal in my books: carefully build it bone-stock and you've got a weapon... so the above comes as a surprise...

If you're running in very high grip conditions often you may want to look into getting the solid aluminum chassis. (XRA301143)

Yep, the car is built correctly and is balanced. I don't have a super fast servo or anything so I can't figure it out. I let another driver try it and he had the same results.

To make a car safer and easier to drive, go thicker on the oils, raise the inner links and reduce the droop.
So try 500 shocks, 5 or 7k diff, 2mm links. 5mm ride height and 6/5 droop.
And from what I read on here, glue the hell out of the front tyres for the black American carpet.

for reference there were A LOT of Xrays in the A mains at the Snowbird Nationals. I got to meet the Champion Alexander Hagberg, super awesome driver and nice guy, also met the team manager Drew Ellis. The support at the big races is awesome. Get one.
I also met Bobbie Dodge but didn't get to take a pic. Super cool dude as well. My friend Allen was cracking jokes making him crack up.

If nothing else, you'll be starting with a newer car with less slop etc.

Hello. I just built my car and ran it for the first time yesterday. I'm running 17.5 with a 96t 64p spur gear. I jacked up the spur yesterday and I am looking to buy some spares. My track is out of them and so is A-main. I've heard that other brands will work. Where should I look?
