I get all that just seems kinda lame since nowhere in that vid description did it mention all the extra parts used for it to perform like it did in the video. It is either a 1/10 or a 1/8 not a 1/8 disguised at a 1/10. I guess i'll try to find a REAL MT410 video so i can decide on a MT410 or a ET48.3.
The whit one with the Trenches is the ET48 with the Rival body.
So this video shows both. But it didn't state it. Til now.
Either way. The good news is you can choose if you want a short wheelbase chassis(Tekno-MT410) or the (ET48) and make a MT.
Short wheelbase= 1/10 scale from the video.

I get you. But the video does show a 1/10 scale MT which is the orange one. And the white Ram body is also a 1/10 scale. Now let's clear something. This 1/10 scale is the same size as a Traxxas Revolution not like a Proline MT. Two totally different sizes yet both called 1/10 scale.

Everything in RCWERKS's post that I just quoted is correct.
The white truck in the opening shot is the kit standard MT410. The one with the Rival body started life as an MT410 that we then put a long ET chassis and rear driveshaft on, that's it. The hex extenders are only on there because those particular tires are so tall and they come mounted on zero offset wheels and the Rival body is wider than most of the other bodies.
Also, it's worth noting that the drivers in the video as well as other test drivers preferred running the standard MT410 over the extended wheelbase one.

Ok, in my attempt to clear things up I apparently added some confusion.

Nope, they'll work just fine. The 40 series Trenchers are just zero offset and way taller, almost 1/2" taller.
We have no plans on offering the truck with the longer chassis. There aren't nearly as many body options out there that correctly fit that long of a truck.
The 40 series are narrower but they are also much taller. With the standard chassis the front and rear tires would have a good chance of hitting each other during ballooning.

Easier to backflip/frontflip, better in air control, easier to wheely, I guess more smile inducing
. Also more tires and bodies are available to better fit the truck.
But this is also all personal preference on what you like to do with your MT and the look you like it to have. Which, by the way, is the main reasons this kit is sold without a body, wheels, tires, etc., so that the user has a great base to start with but a blank canvas as far as everything else goes.

For sure I think I'll like the longer wheel base. I want to wheelie less.
and I just like the look of bigness!

Options are what matter. I can make the thing longer, shorter, wider or narrower.
What I can't easily change is the dirvetrain. That is what sealed my purchase. I've been racing the SCT410 since it came out with the first version. Sometime a day of practice and two days of racing per week.
The drivetrian never failed me, never. Never, not once, did I have to pull my truck because it broke - never.
That said, the things I see you guys do with your bashing rigs is admittedly on another level.

Then you should just buy an ET48.3. The whole point to this kit is that it has a shorter wheelbase than the regular truggy. The shorter wheelbase makes it easier to do backflips or "stunts".

Hey Matt. It maybe a good idea to put different comfurguarions on the site so people are aware. It seems this kit is targeting some racers and we don't know about 40 series tires, offsets, etc. and many don't know the ET option.
