I'm one of those 10...last week I ran my USGT car in the 17.5TC class (and won). The USGT tires work pretty damn well on the untreated asphalt.

We'll be there Saturday, the 29th. ON-road races every other Saturday. We'd really like to get some more USGT cars there.

I'll be happy to run my favorite body again. Competing for DFL but looking good doing it.

guys if you really have a legit issue with the USGT, or USVTA....send a pm,email, or call...but don't come here....cause we have all heard it and if a change is going to come, it will because common sense came into play. Lets work to constantly build the class by getting more racers to the track, not complaining about a body
So about the Ford GT, I know it was a 200mm one, but I am curious as to how it handled for you. I've been sticking with Tamiya's bodies, but I SERIOUSLY want to try the Ford GT when the 190mm version comes out. How did it feel on your car? Good balance of downforce? More steering? Stability? Just wondering, to get some idea of what to expect when the time comes...

Bob I have run one of the 200mm Ford GT on high grip track the body wasn't balanced it has very good steering g but the rear lacks grip with the wing that is included with the body. The wing that is included is only 1" wide at its cord IMHO not creating enough rear down force. That's in USGT 10mm wing up kick height. I have replaced the wing with a PF high downforce wing also the wing that is included with the body sits flat This body was designed for a WGT car they have 2" wide foam tires that generate more rear grip then touring car tires have. I took the body off that race day but with the wing replacement I will try the body again next week.

It was designed for WGT-R, 200mm pan cars, yes, but with F1 style rubber tires, not the super wide WGT/Pro10 foam tires. I race the UK variant of WGT with foam tire, the rubber tires feel like it's on ice in comparison, so it shouldn't be that far from touring car tires...

According to the official rules, nope even though it was an actual GT car that participated in actual races with the ALMS and LeMans.

This falls under the discontinued body rule. HPi stopped making it. That is why its not on the list.

So feel free to run it , if you can find one.

Here's the thing: we're doing it our way. Everybody complains about everything, so I know I don't care anymore. The rules are what we want to see. If you can get your track to do it your way, more power to you.

In the past we have listened to complaints, and all it gets us is more complaints.
