Scott - on low traction asphalt, trying using belt dressing on your usvta tires and even usgt tires. Been used here a lot and trust me, nothing will create more grip. CRC brand works well.

Here's the thing: Im doing it your way too. Just because Im whining a bit doesnt mean your rules are stupid. The "USGT guys" really pumped my enthusiasm to get back into racing because they wanted to bring back realistic bodies. Im a bit of a purist so I disagreed about letting Daytona Prototype bodies in since they are specifically NOT a GT race car but I got over it. Keep doing what you're doing. BTW what is this "discontinued body rule" I read about?

Discontinued unlisted bodies will be added as the USVTA sees fit to add them in based on the spirit of
the class. Your Local track can always make adjustments to this rule...Please use the following if you
want deviate from the Body list for local racing
Any 190mm or 200mm body.
Body can be anybody that is NOT or HAS BEEN on the ROAR T2 body list.
FWD encouraged to use FWD bodies.
Can AM or IMSA style bodies, similar to 1/12 or 1/8 bodies using an integrated wing are illegal. EX:
Porsche 962 style bodies or LeMans P1. Japanese GT OK German DTM OK
NO Trucks vans minivans school buses garbage trucks, ultility vehicles, moon landers, zambonis, golf
carts, quads, etc allowed.
No fantasy or unproduced concept vehicles. If it’s not a car it’s not legal.
Track director or race promoter has the final say on legality of discontinued unlisted bodies.

OK, let me simplify this for you. First, we have the current official rules, which I posted a link to. Rob just posted the secondary rules, which were the primary rules until August 1st of this year (because people were bitching about NOT having a list of officially approved bodies). Anything outside of the primary and secondary lists is between you and your race director. When the 190mm version of the Ford GT is released, it will be evaluated for inclusion on the official body list.

ASM,
I've found the #3065 Food Grade belt dressing and this one: http://www.rmeuropean.com/Products/0...FRY2gQod7E8KMA
Have you tried them both, or do you prefer one over the other?

I can't wait to go to my local Mazda dealer and ask how to put a down payment on a Furai. That is one amazing looking GT car. It almost looks like an endurance prototype race car. Very cool.

I sure hope it has cup holders.

I'm guessing the cup holders went up in smoke with the rest of the car.

We are waiting on the 190mm sedan version of the Ford GT. I have been assured it is on its way. When, I don't know.
