I complain because I bought McAllister DP Riley and DP Corvette bodies, painted them up, used them each once and then they are taken OFF the list. Cost me quite of bit of time and money and now I have 2 bodies I can not use. And now I see that they are allowing other bodies that are just as slick as the DP bodies. Terrible way to run a series. Sorry.

Personally I have no problems with any of the other 'prototype/lemans' type bodies so long as it's not touring car based

Trying to decide do I run the NSX or Zonda for the Arizona State race!

Well first, it seems that the HPI bodies are becoming as rare as a white elk. Second, Tamiya bodies cost twice as much as HPI bodies. I did pick up an Aston from The Build but its on the slow boat from China. I have other bodies that were GT cars but not on the "list." Not complaining, just lamenting.

Ask the ASR track to allow it. It's not like ASR is fully following USGT rules anyway- they don't even mandate the USGT tires. As mentioned several times, bodies allowed are at the discretion of the track.

And it's fantastic that you are coming out for our big race. It's a great group of racers and a nice parking lot facility, you will really enjoy yourself.

I blame the USGT guys because most clubs will stick with their rules since that is what you will have to use if you go to a big race. They should have never listed the DP bodies to begin with for GT racing. That was their big mistake. And now they are allowing bodies like the Mazda Furai concept car, that's just stupid.

the whole point is I honestly can not understand anybody complaining about a R/C class with this many choices in bodies....really....It blows my mind that several companies with different prices and different designs and different styles that all have bodies on the list...and you cant find one legal body you like?....that's pretty stupid to me.....its not a fact that the list is perfect?...but it is a list that as loyal USGT racers should follow....example...I like the 200mm Ford GT body by PF, but its not legal...even with me making it work on my TC7....so do I get on the forum and complain?...no I find another body I like and run it...see simple
guys if you really have a legit issue with the USGT, or USVTA....send a pm,email, or call...but don't come here....cause we have all heard it and if a change is going to come, it will because common sense came into play. Lets work to constantly build the class by getting more racers to the track, not complaining about a body

no, that's not even close...Im simply saying that complaining is not the answer....squeaky wheel?.....better to submit request and see results than bashing or raising cane ....try another approach and watch the sun rise...or keep complaining and watch it fall...to darkness..lol...
FYI...I wouldn't disrespect anyone on here...its not in my nature...

No he will not but I'll be attempting to match his pace and try to keep my car Infront of yours (I demoted myself to usgt till after snowbirds so I can Concentrate on Matt's tc cars without having to run at the same time , it was a nightmare at iic)

I'll be at FastLane (in the KC,MO area) again this Sunday, helping our new crop of racers go faster! We are seeing some new faces, including experienced racers, newbies, and retreads... and the class of choice is USGT. The 21.5 motors are just about right for our track, and all the guys are running bodies that they think are really cool (NOT those TC blobs!).
If we get lucky, Billy Sydor will grace us with his presence, and tell stories about his recent victory at the IIC!

We're working to re-establish on-road racing at The Hobby Connection/Easley Racing Complex in Easley, SC. We've got 10 or so regulars in USVTA and are working to build the USGT class. Low traction asphalt is a whole different animal than the steal-your-shoes traction at Thunder R/C. :-)
