That's exactly my problem! I looked at the little tube and went, "Oh, I guess I should use this sparingly." Then I watching a vid and it's like, "No. You want this stuff all up in everywhere." :-)

Whatever though. Needing to buy a bunch of little stuff gives me an excuse to head over to the hobby shop.

It is a small tube, but you shouldn't need a whole lot of grease on the diffs...just enough for a good coat. I asked about that a while back and I have been using that strategy ever since and all is good. Same for cvd's.

This is the body i am using on my build. Much more aggressive looking than the stock body IMO.

Thanks for linking my videos for the diff shimming, I'm glad they're proving to continually be helpful!

As for the grease, The one little tube in there will usually do 4 or builds for me. The only places I have a significant amount is the ring/pinion gear on the front/read diffs. If you're using grease in the CVDs at the corners, that can use a bit too, but you don't want to overdo it as you don't want it attracting more dirt into there than needed. For the CVDs and dog bone pins, I like to use Cow RCs MooSlick (or any other silicon based spray on and dry), as it doesn't attract all the dust as much, and the dust will more easily blow off since the silicon is dry.

I have a Losi 8e 4.0 buggy and love it! I do need to change diff fluids because mine is more rear centric but other than that its a beast!

I also have a Tekno EB48.2 and my .3 will be here this weekend! I'll let you know about the .3 once i build and test next week.

Ooo enjoy! You already built the 48.2, but I love building Tekno's... such a quality and fun build. I haven't built a Losi in 15 years, I am curious how xray and mugen builds are...

Good luck with the build!

I know this isn't exactly EB specific, but I currently use SMC 6500 4s 60c lipos. I found some Venom 4s 5000 35c for cheap, but was worried about the low c rating. With my sct if I use below 50c it puffs easily. But that's a high amp draw 2s system.

I use rx8 and 1900, would those venoms be okay?

i love the XR8 plus. it is slighting heavier than the tekin as well as slightly larger. But the build quality is amazing. Aluminum fan housing. Its just built great. The temps are awsome. I am running 44/19 with smc 1900kv with the xr8 plus. the switch was my only headache but now that i found a good location its great. i mounted the switch over the front chassis brace on a "L" secured to the inside of the battery tray which comes up over the front chassis brace and i tape the switch on there

i was using some 4s floureon 35c 5200mah and i also have a venom 50c and i don't notice much of a difference at all. Its negligible. Maybe just a bit more "punch" on the 50c but the 35c is definitely not to low of a "c" rating IMHO.

They will work fine. You'll notice they aren't as "punchy" as the SMC packs though.

I normally wouldn't question it, and would stick with my 60/70+, but i found those venom's for $20 a pop... so figured they could be useful for practice. just dont want anything running too hot cause of them.
