Speaking of cool Porsches - back in 1998 Porsche finished 1 - 2 at the hallowed 24 Hrs of LeMans. I was (and still am) a bit of a Porsche fanatic and because of that I decided I just had to do that body style in 1/10th scale. I knew that there was no real rc class for this body style, and my hope was that Associated's 200mm pancar/sedan chassis (while they were frantically working on the first TC3 4wd chassis) would develope into a legintimate class. The class never did happen, but I had no regrets about creating what was basically a "sales dud". I just had to get it out of my system, so to speak lol. It was a fun project, just ill timed.
Those were the "days of innocents" when it came to licensing. We were under the delusion that we were actually helping the auto manufacturers promote a brand name. How things have changed.
Just a little trivia for ya.

First off there is no racing class just called GT. That's part of my point there is no clear class definition of GT in the United States Secondly I said "technically" in my post and if you know anything about IMSA racing the prototype cars and the GTLM cars and the GTD cars do race for the overall win and that my friend would be just like at my scale RC track.

P.S. Does the plug or mold still exist? If you could add about 1/4" in height, it might fit nicely on an Awesomatix.
Bride of P.S.: I just tried it. If the body were cut at the very bottom, where it joins to the flat, unformed plastic, it fits very well.

You have to be kidding me....the overall point is very simple in concept. Was legal...isn't legal.....resembles very, very closely to MANY other bodies and cars out there, and I'm not sure how it was determined one is legit and the other isn't....especially after it was legal. That's all I'm asking as a paying member for 2yrs now of the USVTA/USGT series.

The rule sets are different with GTLM and GTD but the body styles are the same. I dont think Im actually arguing against the McAllister bodies being included since the Saleen S7R is ok but not the Corvette DP? At first I was against the DP but you people and that silly logic of yours got in my head! The real problem was created when an "approved body list" came into being.
