I can't answer for linkless, but for me, no, it doesn't. The front grill/air intake is entirely different, and the side air intakes are entirely different. But as I said, the PFM-10 does look like something that is well within the realm of possibility.
I'd say it looks as much as the PFM-10 as the Morgan looks to the McAllister Hot Rod... Which is: close, but only sorta-kinda.

Ask Dale Epp why the PFM-10 cant look closer to a McLaren. There are car companies that will sue even if the toy car body has the same grille as the real deal. He told the story of how Visteon threatened a lawsuit simply because a sticker was included with a lexan body. That being said, you literally have to nitpick to say the PFM-10 doesnt resemble a McLaren. I may have to paint up my one remaining Saleen S7R (GT1) body since it did not make the list, probably because they're discontinued and impossible to find.
The saleen body you list is legal per the discontinued body rule:
Body Specifications:
Refer to body list for currently available bodies. Discontinued unlisted bodies can be used under the following conditions:
Any 190mm or 200mm body. Body can be anybody that is NOT or HAS BEEN on the ROAR T2 body list. FWD encouraged to use FWD bodies However, Can AM or IMSA style bodies, similar to 1/12 or 1/8 bodies using an integrated wing are illegal. EX: Porsche 962 style bodies or LeMans P1. Japanese GT OK German DTM OK
NO Trucks vans minivans school buses garbage trucks, ultility vehicles, moon landers, zambonis, golf carts, quads, etc allowed. No fantasy or unproduced concept vehicles. If it’s not a car it’s not legal.
Track director or race promoter has the final say on legality of discontinued unlisted bodies.

I never said I had any problems with the idea of a sort-of-scale body, or with the PFM-10 being on the list. Even my McAllister Corvette DP body is only sort-of-scale, so it can fit on a 4WD TC chassis.
Since the PFM-10 is one of the few bodies on the list that doesn't look boring, and is made from 0.030" Lexan, I think it's a good candidate for my next body.

I'm fully aware of why the PFM-10 looks the way it does. It's not nit-picking to say it doesn't look like a McLaren (or anything else for that matter), since it was intentionally designed to NOT look too much like any particular car, thereby avoiding licensing problems. (I'll bet that even Dale will say it doesn't look too much like a McLaren-- he's required to say that to avoid legal problems.)

I currently have the Riley on my car, but was going to go back to the Corvette DP because, no matter how hard I try, I just don't care for the appearance of the Riley. (Also, the Riley aero balance is too much to the rear for my taste.)
Since neither McAllister body will be allowed in a few months, I need to keep my eyes open for something that I like. I fully expect a different body will require some adjustments.
I'm still hoping for someone to make a Ginetta G12!

Does this apply to the discontinued speedpassion furai body as well? Legal?
Thanks

As far as the DP's, like them or not (this is not directed at you), this car represents the premier class in IMSA road racing. They are the fastest, and the most exciting. Not only that, if one was to look at the official race flyer for the 2016 Grand Prix of Monterey, which officially kicks off today, you would see the DP is what represents the event. As to the question of scale comparison, it's not exact, but it's very, very close.
In my opinion, and in my opinion only, one body manufacturer, just had 4 bodies eliminated from the list. I find that extremely concerning. Though some racers may believe this is "much to do about nothing", how would they feel knowing they just took a hit to their bottom line? Has anyone really taken that into consideration, especially when a certain manufacturer has worked and listened to the masses to provide us with multiple new choices for the USVTA class? To me, this is really wrong. Some racers posting here don't think much past their own "honest opinion". It's not just about looking at things from your own personal perspective. These new rules have a father reaching impact for some.
For those of you who want to believe the body issue can be settled at the local level to allow illegal bodies, how does that happen when you're abiding by the nationally recognized rule set and trying to run for national points? It doesn't work! Is that clear enough?
As I have posted before, the DP's race alongside the GTLM and GTD classes at all the IMSA events, so I'm not sure why those bodies have been deemed illegal. So, without a valid explanation, one can only assume it's because they are not aesthetically pleasing to what some must want this class to look like from an appearance standpoint.

I'll just assume you didn't give your statement much thought. You do realize that even the various GT classes are separate and do not technically compete against each other as in real life as you put it. What I'm getting at is, if you were to go watch the 24 Hours of Daytona or the 12 hours of Sebring or the Grand Prix of Monterey you would see a field of cars that represents what we used to have before the rules changed with very few exceptions.
