Tamiya mini cooper
They're listing the standard 54606 arms on the spec sheet. Seems they're still blowing their horns about them being vastly superior to the old 2 piece versions. They're supplying stainless pins and low friction step screws. Those might help.
What I'm actually more impressed by is that RC Mart still has complete M03 kits for sale for $85. That is awesome. The black bling on the new car is nice too, I suppose.

I improved my fan mount.
...it is now hinged at 2 points so I can easily angle it however I want, I can also rotate it at the mounting point. I used some plastic parts from other spare car builds I had lying around.

Made a simple adapter plate to fit AE TC5 shocks onto my m05v2. Had to shorten the ball cup on the shaft a few mm to get the length right.
My solution for mounting a fan was pretty simple... just a standoff and 2 screws.
I ordered some Sweep wheels from TQRC last week, and they arrived today. Super fast shipping as always. Anyways, the wheels aren't as florescent as I had hoped, but oh well.
The wheels are 3g lighter than tamiya wheels, but boy are they flexible.

Sorry another question. I added 2 additional washers into my diff today, nipped the cover down without going crazy and it really feels notchy and it is really loud when doing its job. Additionally when just turning one wheel by hand the other wheel turns the same way, i.e. no diff action.
Normal? Will it run in? Need more greese or less cover tension?
Thanks

You have LSD (limited slip differential) action so that is normal for both tires to turn the same direction when you turn it by hand.
As for the grinding feel, the MR diff is like that. But it works pretty dang well. BTW what do you mean by 'really loud'? I hope you're not holding one tire while throttling up the drivetrain to full power. That can heat up the diff and potentially damage it. You want limited slip action, not open diff action.

Hi Scot, Ivan whoever.
I had to get new tires for the Mini, and again I got S-Grips.
The question is this; for some reason I bought the blue 60D inserts (soft) Before I glue everything; is this the right way to go? This is for the front clearly and before I was using 60D, but the insert was black; I'm assuming harder. The tires seemed worn mostly in the middle, the inner edge had more wear than the outer (ca applied edge) which really had none.
I did read one person had blue inserts rear and firmer inserts front.
Anyway your thoughts would be appreciated but keep in mind I don't think I had really any issues with grip last year. I'm tempted to go with status quo and forget about the blue.
