What parts would be needed to put a 44.3 chassis on a 44.2? I'm trying to decide if this would be a less costly way to go than the Schelle shorty conversion. Plus I would prefer to keep the chassis aluminum (I currently have the Avid chassis).

I'm pondering updating my B44.2 with the Schelle kit since I prefer the slipper/ball diffs on this car but I hesitate to invest much more into this kit with presumably more new cars coming out this season.
I see that a couple makes of "super shorty" packs (2s pack in 1/2 of a saddle config.) out there now. Doing a little quick math shows me that I'd come in 10g under legal weight if I used one of these in my current setup.
Edit: closer examination of my Avid chassis reveals that the motor mount can't easily be moved. Any change in that regard will require significant changes. If the "super-shorty" is to be employed, it'll simply be removing 1/2 of the battery.
This option is appealing because I run a 13.5 spec class.

I recently picked up a used b44.2 and have been going through the car doing some repairs and refreshing. It turns out the car has a ball diff in the front and a gear diff in the rear. Here's the question, would it be prefferable to put the gear diff in the front or the rear?

Are you using a conversion kit?? When I did mine from Schelle,I used the stock .2 centers and just had to swap the front to rear and vice versa...

Anyone have any setup recommendations?
I've currently been following a lot of the team driver's setup sheets...but the car seems to push and be a little loose. (I dont mind the looseness but the pushing is irritating)
yellow 35w, 1.5 front
green 30wt, 1.7 rear w/black sway bar
Schelle conversion, shorty, all 44.2 running gear.
R10, 7.5 orion
For some basics.
Thanks all

The Schelle kit comes with everything you need along with instructions. It is a "true" complete conversion. You don't need to purchase anything else. It is an awesome update to a tried and true platform.
