So full voltage isnt present? when running 2s and an amb?

Booster is only needed in 1 cell ( if a racer chooses to use one as some do not choose to). The bec voltage is 6V@2A (linear mode BEC)
for the new justock.

I think that is pretty much it, I have one I have not tried yet. Hopefully the drag brake is improved. That was the only thinh I did not like about the original.

Correct the low voltage issue is a 1s issue only. Newer transponders work at lower voltages so they don't have a problem. The servo is still slower than when at 6v.

Old Dude, I actually sent an e-mail to AMB, they claim they are both ( new & older transponders) designed for 3 volts. Placement is very important.

The only problem I ever had was with the older. I had the booster fail in a HW V2.1 1s and I missed laps late in the run. I will guarantee that I was below 4 volts because that was a WGT running a 13.5 and it was at the very end. I am also sure it was well above 3. Transponder was placed on the chassis and between the front wheels. I am talking the really old 1" x 3/4" red units (minimum 15 years old).

The old ones are all I own(3 of them), we have had problems with placement. Loop under the car w/trans on top of servo or visa-versa. Mine (older transponders) no problem. Don't get me wrong I have seen both miss.

Question about "Punch" mode setting. I believe this only comes in at the start of a race - i.e. car has been sitting idle for some time waiting for the horn and punch mode is activated?

Have I got this right or is punch mode active at all times, kind of like an expo throttle setting?

All times but it is really an amp limiter, only allowing so much current to the motor. Setting 9 is no limit.

This is my understanding of punch mod. it is like mentioned by another user, a throttle limiter on initial power application. Say 9 is top setting, you would be getting all the power or 100% of the motor as soon as you hit the throttle. Obviously, you still control how much power is commanded by the amount of trigger pull. If you drop down say to a punch setting of 5, you will only get maybe 20 to 30% less power for commanded trigger position at start. I have no idea what the real % is or at what RPM the esc will give you the normal 100% commanded by trigger. In a 2wd dirt vehicle this a very important adjustment and I personally use it in my F1 especially on low byte surfaces.

Thinking of getting one of these for my tc to run in 13.5 blinky. How does everyone find it runs against modified speedos with no timing. Do they get hot. Is there any glitches.

I only run 17.5 so far, sorry if this feedback is useless..
This ESC is very smooth.
But I found that punch is little less than my V3.1, but XR10 brake feels a lot stronger.
On my V3.1, I had to adjust expo for throttle to -70% expo to make it calm.
But with my XR10, I seemed to be able to dive it with 0% expo.
Mine doesn't get hot at all.

It could be due to the changes I made for V3.1.
But I think I am still gonna stick with V3.1, cuz somwhow, I think my servo is slower with XR10, but this could be just in my head, or could be that the track condition was extremely high bite when I tested my XR10. It never glitched though.
