1/12 forum
The Setup is the one in the manual. For the Tires yes the fronts are always smaller than the rears, by 0.5 to 1 mm. This was a tip from Alexander Hagerberg. This made it more drive able, but issue persists.
How are you setting up the front suspension geometry? Do you have a setup station? You would be surprised how important little changes make to a 1/12th handling.
Are the side links moving freely?
Is your rear poor tweak free?
Differential smooth?
Bearings smooth?
Have you checked out my YouTube channel?
Thank you Edward for looking into this.
The rearpod is tweak free, sidelinks are free, diff is rebuild and smooth and the bearings are brand new ceramics. We use a setup station. The only thing I noticed, after watching your YouTube channel, is a slide toe in when the front is compressed. Cloud it be the cause of this?
As for the tires, I know that other people run the same compound with no issues at all. I even run the the same tires on my mod without this problem.

It could be the front suspension ball is binding somewhere. You'll have to check and see if the pivot balls are moving smoothly.
Take some photos of your car so we can all get a visual of your car. Front, back, side and so on.

Would the Hobbyking trackstar servo, TrackStar TS-P12S, be suitable to use for a 1/12 pan car?

Sounds like the car is getting off the groove and loading the tires up with carpet fuzz or rubber buildup. Its hard to see it doing that sometimes unless you know what you are looking for. If it is good and then fades, it's all tires. Are you cleaning them really good after each run with a towel and motor spray then saucing? Also if you are saucing they whole front, that could also make is difficult to drive as the rear tires start to load up. The temperature and humidity also plays a huge role in traction on carpet. We find that the humidity increases bite and the cars seem to get faster as the night progresses.

Back in the Velodrome oval days on hot humid days/nights I'd always go the fastest. Same reason why baseball's travel further in the summer too.

Humid air weighs less than dry air so that is the reason why you can go faster, less drag. The bite is increased because more laps are being turn, those two in combination allow for increased lap times.

Average temps inside (no AC) are mid 90s for months till the winter time, during this heat wave they are seeing in excess of 100, with a lot of humidity
The edge of the track will quickly glaze foam tires
One needs the correct compounds and a good line to make it 8m under control
There is no setup to correct a poor tire choice
Has anyone run the Spec 1/12th scale tire that CRC AND BSR have out (the ones with the WGT style strip) ?. The big series up here in Canada is switching to a spec tire for 1/12th stock and I was wondering if anyone out in there has any experience with them.
There is a layer goop on the old rug at TQ which has never been cleaned

The interesting thing is, that we had no problems on the last race day with temps way above 100. But some really fast guys in 17.5 had a hand full, finding the right tire diameter to tackle the same problem. They ran the green/blue combination.
But yesterday the problem came back big time.
We going to try the Ultys anyway. But I'd like to rule out any other thing I've overlooked before that.
Thank you
