If I wanted, I could take my antenna on my M8, point it straight out and poke you in the eye with it. . . . . . but I wouldn't do that. . .

Thanks guys,
Now that's a clear answer. The antenne can be used for more than reception. You can even hurt somebody with it if you wanted to
Thanks,
S

Hello 17driver,
I also asked my above question to Spektrum and immediately added the question about the Futaba version and its release date.
I don't know if they will add the question to the FAQ on their site.
We'll see.
Ciao,
S

The Futaba units are expected around the middle to the end of March if I remember correctly.

Hello Kraig,
Thanks for the input.
Hope you get my pré-order to me soon
Really looking forward to this system. I went to a new
club to race yesterday and the frequency puzzle started again.
No you can't use your normal frequency, because that one is in use, second frequency more of the same,...
Now it is so that I already have three frequencies and I still have to wait sometimes to practice.
The Spektrum should sort this problem out once and for all.

Ciao,
S

Does anyone know if the rumor is true that we can send our JR xs3 in to Horzon to get fitted with the spec?

I got to play with the KO version today.
Some hobby shops recieved tem last friday, most will recieve them this week.

The reason I got to play with one, is because this guy at the shop was having issues with it. He was using it in a 1/8 gas buggy, the thing was lightning fast testing it on the counter, but doing a ground check on it, it would have issues about 20 feet away. This shop had recieved about 65 units to date, 60 airtronics 5 KO, but the KO's just came in friday, of all those units only 1 airtronics came back with issues. and I think this KO unit this guy bought may of had the same issue.

The problem with the airtronics unit they had gotten back was the actual module, there's like a tiny co-ax and it wasn't plugged into the circut board correctly, causing all sorts of problems. The way this KO unit was reacting I was thinking it might be the same thing. Just posting this to see if anyone has had any simular problems with there KO units.

I have gotten to play with some that worked correctly, and when they do work, they are absolute rock stars. Lightning fast, Unbelievable. I also stopped by so cal briefly last night and noticed the guy TQ'd 19 turn using one. and there were 3 full heats of 19 turn.

I'm on the fence about getting one, leaning more toward buying one, mostly because I know any problems can be fixed, Horizon is a great company and they want there customers to be happy.
It slightly bothers me these units are made in Taiwan for some reason, and there quality control is a concern.

I'm scared to get a bad unit, however I think the benefits outweigh the negatives.

I still really wish a horizon rep or spektrum rep would come post on this thread. I dont know why they would rather deal with 100's of e-mails instead of helping people out on this thread. A lot of people I believe are having problems with there other electronics or somthing simple and blaming this system.

I see one work awsome one day, and one really dissapoint me the next. what am I supposed to think???

Well I will tell you it was not my electronics! Bought one for the Snowbirds. Got it on Mon. left on Tues. so no time to "race" test it. Got there ran one pack and the car would not turn when I input a turn. I could turn the wheel and then like 2-3 feet later the car turned. Then on the straight it was like it had a Rev limiter in it. It stuttered all the way. I took the thing out put back my Airtronics module and Rec. and had no more problems. I ask everyone I saw with one or that I knew had one and EVERYONE of them had the exact same disciption as to what they felt and did VS. what I felt and did with the system.

I sent it back Last Mon. and have yet to get any confirmation from Horizon as to if they got it or not, which I ask them to in my letter.

I think it is very poor for a company, who knew, there were problems with this system....Cleveland.... To say they updated them and then send out units "that slipped by" and on top of that expect me to pay $8 to ship it back so they can "update" it again!!!
