Need advice... For general use like light bashing and medium jumps. Running in grass and loose dirt roads.
I am breaking down this 48.2 I just got and cleaning and looking everything over. This is my first buggy. So what diff fluid should I run and shock fluid and springs. Right now this is what I have on hand
Shock fluid: 27.5, 32.5, 50, 60w
Diff fluid: 5k, 10k, 7k, 20k, 30k, 50k, 100k
Springs: the pink rated black finished springs were on it were pretty messed up looking. I have some yellow and pink chrome tekno shocks which I was had as spares for my et48. They are about the same lengths as the eb sprigs but different # of turns. Will these work ok on the buggy or are they too stiff. I'd like to use them if possible since Im low on cash after buying the eb and et48. Maybe I just use a little thicker fluid?

I would say start with the diffs and try 7-7-5 (Front-Center-Rear)
The truggy springs might be too stiff with different number of turns.

Front Shocks: Pink Springs (TKR6035) / 8x1.3 Pistons / 37.5wt oil

Rear Shocks: Red springs (TKR60340 / 8x1.3 Pistons / 30 or 32.5 wt oil

Good luck and have fun, its a great car

You've mentioned special Tekno-oriented setup guide a bit ago. Any updates or ETA on this guide?

I'm running a mostly kit setup on the EB48.2 with AKA I-beams on a low bite, loamy track. The only mods are the 15 degree spindle carriers and the LRC hinge pin bracket. The track has a chicane that requires some low speed turns. I can usually tap the brakes and get the weight transfer and bite needed to make the high-speed turns, but I'm having problems getting the buggy to turn through the chicane - the front wants to push really bad on power at low speed.

Any suggestions on what I should try to get this thing to turn in this low speed area?

I had about same problem, only difference - hi-bite track and hairpins.
I've increased lenght of fr. camber links, limited steering d/r (mine kickup was 1dot down at B-plate with 15deg casterblocks) and went to 10k diff oil in center. It helped a lot, heavy c.diff made car more RWD-like, so it rotates well enough when needed.

I am in the process of cleaning up a used EB48.2 that I bought used off here. It has a SMC 1900KV motor and HW 150a ESC. Right now I have 2 3cell lipos (6500/65C) and 2 2cell (6500/65C). I had this with my previous trucks so I could run 5S in both. Since then I have sold those and got an ET48 and a EB48. I know the ET will do fine on 5S... do you all think I can run 5S in the buggy setup or should I buy a single 4S/5000/50c? I don't really want to run the 2 2cells I currently have because then I would have to run 6S in the truggy and I just don't really want to do that. I am not going to be racing just bashing around

Just ran my EB48.2 I picked up a few weeks back. Anyone have issues with the steering? I went from a Losi to this and using all the same elcs(1258 Savox, RX8/1900kv My steering is way to twitchy/sensitive almost have a tendency to oversteer into a turn and clip the pipe. Don't get me wrong it turns on a dime but way to fidgity. I have all my EPAs set right and I bumped down the dual rate from 100 to 85ish. Should maybe I slow the servo up? Any ideas??

Try moving your camber link mounting position to the very top hole on the front tower. This will take away some front bite and help with the twitchy feeling. You can also try to lay the front shocks down as well

The 15° front spindle carriers (TKR5042B) will tame things down.

Lay down, meaning bottom tower position and outside A arm position? And camber link top in or out hole? And camber link on spindle in or out?

Thanks.
