Just purchased a used EB48.2 after taking a break from RC for 4 years. New to 1/8 ebuggy. I purchased some blockades and looking for wheels to mount them. I'm about to pull the trigger on the proline velocity v2 wheels. Couldn't really find much information on them - is it a safe purchase to make?

Thanks!

I just got some proline velocity wheels for mine last weekend and I love them

I like using the DE Speedline wheels, especially since they come in variety of colors too.

Personally I find the Avid wheels to be some of the best, not only in strength, but how well they clean up also.

Thanks for all the helpful information everyone!

Have one more question, what is everyone's thought on the Savox 1268 servo? I was looking at the hitec 7955 but was worried that it might be too slow. I just purhased a Hobbywing SCT Pro so I'll be able to run the servo at 6v. Thanks!

I run the 7955 in my SCT410.3, EB48SL, EB48.2 & ET48 and they are perfect in these vehicles IMO.

I'll be honest, I know a lot like Hobbywing, but I always had problems. They are however releasing a bunch of new models.

First and foremost, HW has a lower amp BEC and when bundled with a notoriously power hungry brand servo like Savox, you are asking for trouble. I've run the 7955TG's for a while, but recently have had them start failing one after another. That being said, they have over a years use, but it's a bit expensive and I've had three fail now in just a few months. It's almost like they have a running lifespan and I appear to be certainly hitting it.

I've trying a few new ones, including KO which seems FANTASTIC, as well as the Savox SB-2274SG. KO seems to be the way to go, but they are very expensive.

In the end, depends on what your budget and expectations are.

I'm just recently switching from Tekin to HobbyWing electronics. Prior to that, over the past year or so, I had begun running Savox servos, currently running the 2274 and 2273's in my buggys and truggy. This is after running expensive Futaba servos, also having disappointing life spans.

With about a month on the HW/Savox combo, I'm not seeing any problems. Servo performance does not look, nor feel all too different coming from the 7.4V BEC of Tekin to the 6.0V BEC of HW.

Thanks for all the feedback! I may look into the savox 2274sg then. Unfortunately, I am on a budget - I sold all my RC gear when I moved from IL to TX. I'm basically starting from scratch and everything is adding up quick. I'm probably going to even buy the turnigy 4s 5000 20c lipos just to get me started for now until I can get some SMCs later.

With using the Savox, theres a chance you might need a $5 Glitch buster depending on what ESC your using. I have a HW in mine and a Savox for the past 3yrs and had to put a $5 Glitch Buster in it.

Good to know. If I recall properly, the Tekin actually puts out over 8v at HV and the 6v BEC HW I was using barely put out 4.8/5, so there was a CONSIDERABLE difference for me. Sounds like they've straightened things out!

I am in the process of putting together an EB48.2 for a friend and while building the tie rods, I felt the plastic ends themselves are incredibly soft. Soft to the point where the plastic deforms and does not straighten out. Is this normal for this car?
