My kit shipped out today from amain, curious to see what holder comes with it. Either way pretty sure it's going to be better than the 44.3

I just noticed the center diff comes with polymer gears vs. steel like the 15 kit front and rear. Anyone have issues with them stripping?

Gee that makes total sence.
Well, actually and NOT defending Xray here, this does make sense. I.e. - would you buy a new 2015 kit if you think it had the wrong part in it? I sure as hell wouldn't. In fact, I'm more likely to upgrade to the new 2015 now since they are clearly attaching the new part to the boxes. But before that, I want my replacement part out of principle for this "luxury off road car"!!!!!

You will most likely receive the new hanger. Thus it will most likely be attached to the outside of the kit box.

It makes sense from a sales standpoint but not from customer service. They already have our $ so we can wait. Imo the customers that are loyal and purchased the car as soon as it came out should have gotten first priority. But I would probably make a poor business owner with that way of thinking. Lol.

I agree! From a business stand point it would be hard to sell new kits without the replacement part. Since the issue was admitted and thus partially fixed by manufacturing the new part, it would be really sketchy (bad business) to sell new kits without providing the new part. Let's hope they are ready to drop the hammer and supply the part to current XB4 owners. Sounds like that is going to happen with news of xb4 owners down under receiving theirs.

Internal diff gears are composite on all models of the XB4 ('13, '14 & '15).

The external 14T pinion gear and 35T bevel gear however are metal on the '15 model

Replacement hinge pin holders have shipped to all distributors around the world and depending on shipping and customs should have arrived or will shortly.

European countries received these some time ago so they should be getting close for the rest as well

Looking at pics online it looks like they're off to me. Makes sense that the same cnc program was used.

Thanks RCGOD much appreciated my friend. I just looked at some pics and it does look off. Damn I am glad that fella brought up that question as I was planning on ordering the brass hangers tonight.

I'm sure going forward that they will make the brass mounts correctly, but for the guys that already have them? Probably be easier to run offset inserts than wait for xray to replace them if ever.

I tend to agree. That really would stink spending that much on the brass hangers and thus not be right or at least not fully use them to the fullest.

Have a great night brother

Just got my kit today from amain. No external holder attached, but got a nice letter in the box explaining the issue and that I can measure the toe then call them for a replacement.

Is there a way to measure the holder prior to installing to see if it needs replacing? It will probably be a couple of days before I can get it built and would like to get on the list as soon as possible.
