If I remember correctly the clicker was more of an on off thing. Not really adjustable.

I locked mine down because the truck already has a ton of steering.

I have a new ft sc10 4x4 and it pushes in every corner, the clicker is locked. I guess I will try it loose, it can't get any worse.

Do you have the over gear in the front?

Mine pushed a ton at first too, changed the diff setup, changed shock fluid, bam. Good to go. The guys on here will be able to offer more specifics then I can as I Havnt had a sc10 in a while now but it's definitely fixable.

Dirt season is over around here. We now have a carpet track to run on.
None of us have ever ran carpet off road.
My question is should I lighten up the front diff flued to run on carpet.
As I see it I'm going to need alott less grip compaired to the loose dirt I normaly run on.
Also take some un needed pressure off the drive train.
Right now I have 10000 rear and 20000 front. I'm thinking of trying 10k in both front and rear.
What are the thoughts on this. Thanks.

You do not want to go lower on dif fluids wrong way! with this truck i would start with 30kF/10kr with a center dif(10pins), higher front with the slipper, low ride height, low roll center less rear toe and max antisquat. you are going to fight traction rolling more than anything else so zero front camber and at least 1* of front toe in.

I have a carpet setup from back in the day when I ran the car. If interested shoot me your email address. It uses a variety of RC shox stuff and it does use the exotek chassis, however, you can mod as needed.

When running the center diff, I was using I think 7K front 5K Rear on carpet, extremely tight track.

A big thing to help with traction roll I found was to get the longer 12mm I believe rear ball studs and shim them up about 5mm. that really helped with traction roll.

My truck is the FT and it came with 30,000 in the front and 5,000 in the rear. I ordered the m2c blocks and the Exotek locked front clutch. I also have a few sets of tires on the way. I am taking a day off work so I can try different things to try to get the truck better. I could just order a Tekno like the other guys around here did but is the Tekno really that much better?

I think the benefits you see to the Tekno really show up on larger 1/8 style tracks. The Sc10 4x4 in my opinion was made for a different type of setup than what is common 4x4 SCT for outdoors.

Indoors it works well assuming 1/10 sized stuff. Not to say the Tekno doesn't, it does work very well indoors, just that the Sc10 4x4 seemed more made for it.

The biggest issue that really didn't get a buy and install kind of solution was the in air pitch control issue where the truck on larger jumps at times you can't save it like others with in air attitude adjustments.

The counter gear setup that RC Shox and Shark worked on with there vehicles looked really promising. If you plan to really soldier on with the vehicle I would probably contact shark personally and see what it would take to get one made.

Default Gearing Help

I need gearing help. Here is the situation:

Need: I need more top end speed.

Setup: Tekin Pro4 3300kv (540 can), Tekin RX8 (using 20/30 timing). I'm running a 63 tooth spur and have tried a 15 tooth pinion (not enough top end) and have tried a 18 tooth (Decent top end, could use more, having major heat issue though). Running 2s 7.4v lipo

Track: Medium size indoor, large straight away, some small hairpins. Any car can blow by me on the straight.

My question is, where am i going wrong? What can i do to get some more speed. Before I buy spend another $10 on a pinion, i want to get another opinion.

My suspension is perfect and i like where it is.

Thanks Guys
