Tune With Camber Links
#1923
Exit steering? Or mid-turn steering? If you need exit steering you could try running a tighter diff (ball diff) or thicker oil (gear diff). You could also run a longer link in front or raise the inside mounting point. This will allow the chassis to roll over further and plant the outside tire hard later in the corner. Also, don't run too thick of an oil in the center to allow the front to pull the car out of the corner. Sway bar in place in the front currently? Try going to a softer sway bar.

Thanks guys for all the information in this thread. And please don't leave this thread forever, Fred
Put some HPI Apache C1 shocks (same as HPI Vorza and HB D8) with white springs on my Slash and have now started to go through all the steps.
Car is a Slash 4x4 LCG 1/8 buggy conversion with TPPower 5670 motor, Alienpower 250A 8S ESC and 8S 4000mAh lipo. Weight is 4.3Kg.
Could somebody please have a look at the push-down and drop-test vids I made? I am not sure if I got it right and what to look for.

(sorry for not embedding the link, the forum won't let me do this because I don't have enough postings yet)

Thanks for your judgement. Rear coming up faster would mean I need to reduce spring rate in the rear.
So either move shocks inward on rear a-arm, use softer springs in the back, or use harder springs in the front?
It's somehow completely counter-intuitive for me. But I'm just a basher, so that probably means nothing
Camera is my Galaxy S5 phone with video mode set to Slow motion in 1/8 speed. It then produces a video that is already in slow-motion. Then imported that video to Windows Movie Maker and slowed it down to 1/2 there. So it should be 1/16 speed now

All I know is that outdoor I run red springs on the back and blue or black on the front and indoor you can be totally the other way round as the track gives loads of rear grip. The oils are similar. I don't think the car would pass the drop test!
