Instructions says don't remove or bundle wire.. I bundle mine in the case and have the end tip sticking out.. I only use it for indoor racing no issues.. I might try removing it

Has anyone tried to use the 4pk angled wheel adaptor on the 4px? I'm not talking about the drop down that came with it I am talking about changing the actual angle of the wheel, I can't be the only one who is a big fan of this?

I have exactly the same problem. Seems to be compatibility issues with the receiver, because the servo works perfectly well with a R614FF, using the same radio. Anyone found a “cure”?

I already tried. It doesn't fit.

Broke out the 4px today. As others have said, installing the drop down is pretty annoying. The big wire harness is upside down on the wheel unit causing you to have to bend the wires 180 degrees when screwing down the drop down. Also, the long Philips head screws from the accessory bag are hard to screw in. Almost to the point I was wondering if they were the right screws. Heads are very easy to strip also. Futaba really should have used hex head screws.

So to summarize, take your time when installing the drop down.

yeah that was the first thing i did.. drop down is easy to install just take your time but them screws was tight and i felt like i was going to strip it out

You should go for the Protek hard case with the 4px insert. A bit more money but way more protection.

Update: range issues with antenna deleted on the R304SB. I think it's because the FHSS receivers don't have an internal antenna like some of the FASST receivers do. I couldn't drive the car past the length of a basketball court without losing signal. Antenna is going back on my R304SBs. Tomorrow I'll do more testing with the R204GF-E, R614FF-E and R614FS (antenna removed)

No range issues here using a R304SB-E

Setup my radio last night impressed so far and had no problems with my Hitec servos in Digital mode.

Yeah I just went with that and that universal puck foam.. looks like good reviews also.. the 4px foam is backorder

Used the 4px last night on a covered metal building out door track. Worked well. No glitches with my old FASST C2 receiver and with the included T-FHSS receiver.

Gotta agree with others on this thead about the trigger being huge. I put on the smaller trigger. Pretty close to the 4PKS I have but still slightly bigger. Futaba must think Americans are all 600 pounders with sausage fingers...

What are people's opinion of running the throttle in the software at 70/30 vs 50/50? While I have always had my trigger physically at 70/30 I never thought about adjusting the software setting. Did this last night. Didn't really notice a difference although I never notice changes that much.

Not very helpful at all. Interesting it works with 614 rx. I was going to get sanwa servo but ended up going with futaba just to be sure. First time I have ever come across this type of compatibily issue which is disappointing with high end system. Well hope someone comes up with a fix shortly but first they need to be aware of the problem and that response I got doesnt give me much confidence that they wanted to try understand more.

So I had my first hiccup, I guess you'd say, today at the track. Going into Q2 in eBuggy, I was the last guy out (helping someone else) and turned the radio on, then the buggy, and the receiver didn't bind, lost bind, whatever. Running a Radiopost for 2 years, this didn't really bother me much as that happens all the time with that system. No big problem I thought, just go click bind, err, link, and I'll be on my way.

Well, after you bind a receiver to a model on the 4PX, the 'Link' option goes away, leaving just the receiver ID #. Scrambling through menus couldn't find another option. Turning everything off/on didn't do it. Pushing the SW/bind on the receiver didn't get it to bind with the radio on. Finally I turned the radio off, car on, and hit the SW/bind button, then turned on the radio and it re-bound.

I haven't checked the manual, but surely there has to be a 'correct' way or some way to re-bind a receiver to a model, or even change receivers on a model? Second I'm curious why it lost bind in the first place.
