I didn't wait to order mine from Tower. Went ahead and ordered on Friday. With CC no cash really out of hand so no big deal that both radios are on the CC for a week or so. My Amain price was ~$500 after $40 coupon and $10 in Amain bucks. If you didn't use a coupon then it's a no brainer to return it and buy from Tower.

Few things to consider about Amain returns though:

1. You pay return shipping.
2. CSR for some reason said I should ship it back myself instead of just refusing delivery on the package. Said UPS charges Amain more for delivery refusal than what I would pay to ship the package. If I refused delivery that fee would come out of my refund. Seemed weird to me about the refuse fee costing so much.
3. Unclear to me if Amain is going to charge me with the initial shipping since it was free. Not a huge deal if they do since I was the one that changed me mind.
4. Officially Amain charges a 15% restocking fee if you want a refund as opposed to store credit. That is pretty outrageous for an item of this price.

I talked with the CSR and he said they would waive the restock fee as a one-time courtesy. Not sure if I will take them up on that or just do the store credit. Amain has always treated me well so I may just do the credit.

I'm not quite sure how its outrageous for retailers to charge a restocking fee. If you'd have shopped around prior to making the purchase you wouldn't have wasted Amains time or money. Seems the restocking fee is there for cases just like this.

I should have my radio Tuesday. Bought from my local hobby shop.

Blah, blah, blah. Think about what I posted before doing a knee jerk. I'm not saying a restocking fee is outrageous. I'm, saying a $75+ restocking fee is outrageous! It takes Amain no longer to process an unopened $20 item than an unopened $550 item.

Well mine comes in today looks like I'll just keep and not go through all that re sending/stock fee... hopeful a main hooks me up with 45$ store credit

Anyone know where I can get a bit smaller steering wheel? Carbon fiber or aluminum? Aftermarket ones for it?

No, but the loss in profit is much greater on a $550 item then it is for a $20 item. Consider it Amain's insurance policy just so people don't impulse buy something just to find out they can save some $$$ elsewhere and end up trying to return a perfectly good item just to buy it from a competitor.

IMO, I don't see a need for Amain to not charge their standard restocking fee for those trying to return it just to buy from Tower. Amain's policies are pretty clear. Should have been more patient.

Loss of PROFIT for a return is pretty standard business practice. Making a profit off someone returning an un-opened item should not be.

Anyways, done with this discussion. As I said I made sure I would not have to pay the restocking fee before doing the return, should I not opt to choose the store credit.

Default Servo compatibility

Hi all

Does anyone know if there are any known compatibility issues with with ko servos? Im currently running a ko bsxone2 low profile response servo it works now with my m11x and rx451r I have transfered the 4px across and servo doesnt even power up. I put a futaba servo on and it works. Heres the interesting thing if I plug the ko servo into the futaba rx whilst powered on though it does work its almost like it needs a little kick start but once I power off the esc and turn the power back on via switch the servo wont power up again... to get it going I need to pull out the servo plug and plug it in again whilst all powered up. Very strange but would like to know if anyone else has had similar experiences. In thoery all hardware seems to be working which is why I put it down to compatibility problem.

Thanks
Tlp

Default Calibrating my speedo

So I noticed the end points go all the way to 140, so when I calibrate forward/neutral/brake on my Orion R10 should the endpoints be set @ 140, or should I set them @ 100 ??
