I cannot find the 41019-c anywhere In stock. It is killing me.

Other than that this nova is finally starting to wake up I've put a little over half a gallon into it and temps are now in the 220 range. Flat out moves now.

I'm having a problem with my 353r I think the carb may be shot. I can't adjust the low speed anymore leaner. The needle is always the way closed and it still on the rich side. I went thew the carb and don't see anything out of order or damage. My guess is the spray bar is worn out or egged out from previous owner. Im wondering if i can take another carb off another engine (turbo engine) like either a .12 os xz or a rb .12 and will it work. I can't find a replacement carb for the 353r anywhere.

What you guys think ?

Yeah you aren't the only one I'm hearing this from. You can use the 41019 also its what we use to run, the conical just has a little more power. I will keep an eye out for the 41019C and let you know when I see it.

What header are you using now?

I'm also having a little carb trouble, and it's really starting to get frustrating.
From day 1 the carb was pulling out of the case, I thought it was just because it was new and had to loosen it and push it back in. Today was the 3rd time running it and it pulled out 2 times during qualifiers. My servo is set fine, but since day 1 it was a pain to tune, my guess is the carb doesn't seat all the way and the pinch bolt don't grab correctly.
I asked around, and most people said there's a defect somewhere.
I've had other novas before and this never happened.
It's a keep on .12 and also have another keep on that doesn't have this problem, any suggestions? I just finished my first gallon n it and it's ready for a new rod and bearings, but I'm not doing that if it's going to be a problem that can't be solved.
I'm really happy with the performance, when the carbs fully in, and don't want to have to use it for parts neither.

No. The one in the link is non-conical. The 'C' denotes that the header is a conical version.

Don't do 10th scale but did have a .21 quite a few years ago with a similar problem and what it came down to was just bad luck on tolerance stackups - the 2 pinch bolt halves would bottom to each other before clamping the carb , just ground .5mm off the inner end of each - problem solved.

As a quick check you could try a pinch bolt assembly from one of your other nova .12's as they are the same.

Look the same .

Is this one works with 9886 pipe and flash rally for GT?

Thanks

Yeah they look similar however put both side by side and you'll see the difference. The conical manifolds have a little bit more power (slightly higher fuel consumption too) than standard manifolds. Both will work on the 9886 pipe.

Yeah you can use the 41019 header with the 9886 and have great results. Like Dan said the Conical version gives you a bit more power at a price of fuel consumption.

I think I got it.
I was always told, now its a habit, to not gorilla tighten screws. Long story short, I tightened to the point where it wouldn't turn without applying force and went almost 2 more turns tighter.
Haven't tested it yet, but I think it'll be good. Also as I was tightening I pushed on the other side of the pinch bolt and felt it grab the screw and squeeze the carb a lot better.

Will a full ceramic keep on 12 be much better than on with just a rear ceramic bearing? 1 of mine is about ready for a new rod and bearings and I'm debating if its worth getting the front bearing ceramic also.
