Hey guys, I've recently purchased and built both the EB48.2 and NB48. I after finishing the builds I noticed that the "box setup" of the two buggies are very different and that has me a bit confused since they are virtually the same buggy. I mean, almost every setting is very different from the camber link lengths, camber link locations, bump steer settings, shock locations, rear toe, anti squat and ride height. I guess im just wondering why this is, and if the NB48's setup is the most recent and I should run that on both cars? Thanks

You will find that to be the case on most manufactures cars. The nitro / electric setups seem to be different.
I don't want to make assumptions for the different setups because I have no inside privy information.. But I assume that the weight balance is different between the 2 cars. The NB48 is wider. The chassis braces and chassis its self is very different.
With that said, just Driving a nitro car and a electric car is VERY different and can require a different setup.

Hi there,
i'am German dealer(microspeed.de)and Tekno driver from the first hour.
Last weekend 4 very experienced drivers were on the racetrack.
Daniel -we have a very big problem!
4 tanks we have destroyed that day!
No crashs,only normaly driving style.
We have anything modified at the fuel tanks,so the vibrations are top!
A lot of damping under and over the fuel tank posts.
More damping as in the manual of building the car.
Going on 25 years RC- Car, we have not experienced anything like this in a day:-(
I'am Tool Manager of a big Plastic Mold Shop and think that the material of the fuel tank is not very good. The material is to hard and the wall thickness is to small.
The incection point of the mold is problematic.
I see many people have trouble with the fuel Tank, but we need a solution as soon as possible! All drivers become a new fuel tank from the German distributor(Thanks to Dark Products!)but this is no solution for the future.
In a few weeks here in Germany the race season startet and i hope Tekno is working hard for a better fuel Tank.
Now we drive with a Mugen MBX-7 fuel tank but we won't have Mugen parts in your great Tekno Buggy:-)
Please help us!

Yeah, I am unfortunately reporting back with another broken tank, number 4. This time it lasted 1 1/2 heats, because I dremelled the tank holes an oval shape to give the posts more room to flex. I am convinced the material used in the tank is the wrong choice.
Hoping Tekno give us a v2 tank soon or another solution, at this stage I am no longer able to run the buggy, even though I really want to. Disappointing.

I have a NB48 now and previously owned a MBX7 when they first came out. Until i drove the NB48 i always contented the MBX7 was the best car I ever owned / drove. Hands down the NB48 is the best car I have ever drove now.
I think you will be happy with either car honestly. The NB48 is the car for me though.

We have more data on the tanks now and we are working on a solution for them as I type this. We hope to have a revised material tank by mid-March (a week and half). The fuel nipple will be replaced with a straight through connection to solve the clunk issue as well.
We will post more info as soon as we have it. For now, know that we acknowledge the issue and are working in our customers best interest to fix the issue as soon as possible. We will replace all broken tanks when we get the revised tanks in.
Thanks for your patience on this matter. Please let us know if you have any questions.

When we receive the revised tanks we will send a bunch of them to Dark Products to distribute to our German customers. We hope to have everyone back on the track and enjoying the buggy ASAP. Thanks.

ok well i have now been using my 2nd tank no problems at all for few months now and i think it might be the front tank holder which is the problem as well
i zip tied my 2nd tank in to the front brace just nice and loose and then used the 10 mm fuel tube as cushion for the back mount and have not had any problems at all
so if some one wants to try this as well and see if it works until the fix is done
as i said i know it will be fixed soon but i am still racing and jumping strong with this fuel tank as is
after i was one of the 1st to have the issue its been fine ever since with the zip tie on the same track i broke my tanks on
