The case will not fit properly.

The Rx8 Gen2 has 220 amps per phase vs Gen1 Rx8 at 210 per phase.

I picked up a AE 8.2 e

running a 19tooth pinion/stock spur

I want a little more low end punch

Is 10 deg too much,

Motor was temping 129

esc was at 113

For some reason fan is not coming on, I have it set to always on; are these fans fragile?

There is this scene were all the wife's are setting by the pool and this dude, on the other side of the pool flexing his muscles, catches their eyes. This dude comes over to the ladies and mentions his is from saskatchatoon. It was just a stupid joke. I know your really not the guy in the movie. When I saw your location it reminded me of that scene. Sometimes I get easily distracted. My wife calls it the "squirrel syndrome". I could be talking about one thing and next thing you know I'm off on another subject. Sorta like a dog that is concentrating on one thing but as soon as he sees a squirrel he's gone. Oh yeh, this it the RX8 forum, see I did it again.

I'm getting an RX8 Gen2 1400 combo for my JQ THE eCar. I'll be running it with a 3200 mAh 6s 25C Venom hardcase pack. I'll be geared quite low at 45/12 with an internal ratio of 3.307. What kind of run times and performance can I expect?

I race on a medium sized track, low/medium traction and I am very smooth on the throttle. I'll probably be running low minimum throttle and 70 current limiting.

Also, can I adjust the current limit and minimum throttle without a hotwire?

Actually running a 6S lipo I think your gearing will be just about right, that will put you at just under 40mph.

I also have the eCar and am going to be running it with a RX8 Gen2 1900kv combo on 4S and starting at a 16t pinion, which could be a touch overgeared, might back off to a 15 or even a 14. I think your probably looking at somewhere around 20 mins of runtime but that pack could be a little bit weak at 25C, although hard to say how accurate that spec is. I played it safe and went with a 4S 70C pack.

Looks like you can adjust the current limiter but not the minimum throttle without the hotwire.

20 minutes sounds great.

I did the math at nominal voltage for a lipo and the top speed is 34mph which seems like a safe bet. A 6s setup won't draw a lot of current and current limiter at 70 would be quite safe, right?

I checked the manual moments after I posted and saw the available options.

It's great to see another jq user around here.

I'm excited to be getting the tekin. Hurry up, usps!

Gear up a tooth or two.

The fan only comes on when the temps require it. To test the fan and fan control, unplug the esc from the receiver, power up the car. This will force the fan to run non stop.

Randy, I am looking at T8 motors for a x ray xt8 truggy I have. Right now I have a non sensored 1800 in it. I have a rx8 gen 2 for it , and now I am on the fence between the 2250 kv or the 2000kv t8. 4s only for this one . Is one a clear choice over the other ? Thanks in advance for your answer ...

Josh both are good but I've never found a track or time where I felt I needed more than the 2000kv. The 2250 is a beast and at times, way too much power. The 2000kv will wheel stand the truck at will assuming there's grip. Heck I could still rip a wheelie at the end of a 10 minute main last time I ran it.
