Well my SC10 4x4 FT kit came in and is assembled for the most part. All I have left is some wire shortening but all the running gear is in place and ready. I am hoping to get all the wiring and finish off the build by Saturday night. I am taking a break from it tonight as I did most of it the last 2 nights. I will have to do all the turnbuckle adjustments, bumpers, and paint the body. Very solid kit and relatively easy to build. I am hoping to get it on the track Sunday. I also need to get the used 2wd running which just needs a servo screw and I am putting in a new receiver to match the 4WD. Ill update with how it goes.

Much smarter than what I did...That's for sure. I wanted to race a day and a half later so I built it through the night. By the time I finished everything it was 24hrs later and I had only 3 hours of sleep. Mind you that 3hrs helped a lot..hahah. Kit is sick and don't let other's you should have went with something different. Btw if you do have trouble with your belt falling off just tighten it more.

Does anyone know of some other 13mm springs? I modified the arms and shock towers to push the shocks out closer to the tires...
I have it close but need softer springs.
Currently Whites with 25/27 oil is still too stiff.
The mod is good, just need softer springs.

Does anyone know where I can get a stronger spur gear, possibly metal.

What pitch are you using currently, the kit comes with 48p and a 32p. You can look at getting a mod spur gear(1/8th scale). But you shouldn't need a metal one. Make sure your gear mesh is set properly.

good question on what pitch. the 48p one is definitely not robust enough for high torque motor usage in my opinion if your gear mesh is at all off.

Nothing horribly constructive to add here.. but I'm finally getting the bug to race 4x4 short course again so I figured I'd put my FT together (been sitting - new in box for about a year now) and I stumble upon this gem...

Looks like I got an unfinished tensioner base

I'm using 32p. Just wondering if anyone had anything a little stronger.
