Question.....I got a couple sets of the LRC inserts while they were available, and plan on trying them this weekend. For those of you who have been using them, where did you end up with your inner camber links, were you already all the way up, getting the roll center as low as possible before the inserts, and got the inserts to get it even lower? I believe I was currently at the middle hole, but hadn't done a lot of experimenting with it yet......

Lowering the roll center on the arm is more drastic of a roll center change than changing it on the tower. 1mm on the arms made the car bite more than i could get from changing it on the tower. I tried every hole on the tower.
They increase rear traction. On the NB48 thread, a guy posted a link to the pic i posted. I dont have one on my i pad otherwise i would post it for you. If you cant find it, i will post it in the morning.
They are a tight fit as the hole is extremely close to the edge of the insert. I wanted this to ensure that the pin didnt rotate inside the insert. The arm is supposed to pivot on the pin. Otherwise the hole in the insert would wear out quickly.
1) Anyone using shims on steering spindles to reduce the up and down movement where they are fixed to main spindle carrier?
2) Also anyone using shims on main spindle carriers to reduce the movement of back and forth, where they are fixed to front a arms
If so where would the ideal spot for shim to be placed
For 1) shim top or bottom of steering spindle? To slightly push front wheel up or down?
For 2 ) shim back or front of main spindle carrier in between a arm? To slightly push front wheel fwd or back
What would be better for shim placement for these examples?

also RC cars need some play in the suspension unlike real cars where it is catastrophic.

The play in the front arms I used the kyosho arm washer that come with the front or rear arms. And I shim the rear side of my front arms, I didn't have to but I did.
But the axle play needs the shim cause when u turn lock to lock the axle will just slightly rub the drive shafts when they float in but it doesn't rub when it floats out ward.

I really would not worry about shimming out the minimal slop on a offroad car. Once dirt and dust find their way in it will turn into a bind. I have honestly found this to be one of the best wearing cars I have ever run.
