Fuel tank is done. clunk kept falling off, and then the pipe hanger mount took a bite out of the bottom corner of the tank. New tank and Losi Ultra line (only clear in stock at LHS) in hand. What's the add-on fuel filter and exhaust cooler about? Performance or peace of mind? Brake caliper springs would seem to be a good idea. I found TLR and Ofna. Anybody know whether these will work, or what size such a spring would need to be?

I trust a mesh screen more than just a clunk filter. When I was running my 6T, I did the clunk mod on it. Ran an external filter. Cleaned out the fuel filter one day and found couple specs of dirt in it. As for the exhaust cooler you will find arguments that they do and they don't have any benefits. I choose to run it. I ran brake springs before on my Ofna X2 CRT and Mugen 6t. It worked but eventually the springs would work itself in the hole and just bind it. Caused more of a headache. If you really want to run springs on your brakes you could just take the spring from an old ball point pen and cut it down to size.

Now the fuel tank clunk line in the tank, mine fell off the second time on the track and I took an extra piece of fuel tubing and cut a small 1/8 inch piece to make like an o-ring and stretched it onto the end of the fuel line and the took small needle nose pliers and slid it back on the nipple in the tank and 2 gallons later have still not had any other issues.

Like my eb48, the pins of the center dog bones wear off quite fast (rear dog bone for eb48 and front for nb48). I would recommend to replace the pin with a mugen/xray pin during the first assembly, cos I have accidentally bent my front dog bone when I was trying to replace the pin with the dog bone sitting inside the car........

I just wanted to give some feedback on the car after running it for a couple gallons. Last weekend I competed at the January Jam race at Flowood RC in MS and was the only Tekno in the expert buggy class, I ended up with a second place overall and qualified second also even though I had the fastest quailfiers and fastest combined qualifiers but the computer showed me second. The buggy drives absolutely awesome and I have been faster and more consistant with the Tekno than other previous buggies (and I've had most of the other brands). There are two things that I found that the car was very sensitive to, rear anti-squat and front toe. In the beginning my car was very loose when getting on throttle and I fought it until I went up on the anti-squat and it really locked the rear in on throttle. As for the front toe, I run on an indoor track that currently has lots of 180's so I couldn't afford to limit the steering throw so I learned that I could adjust the toe in/out by one degree and it would make all the difference. This is a very sold car with excellent quality and durability, it is very adjustable and gives you very good feeback from any adjustment you make. Thanks Tekno for giving us racers a great platform to compete with and look forward to see what other great things you bring to the RC world!

Greg is the first local guy to get the nitro buggy and I've been keeping a close eye on him. I know he's made a good amount of setup changes to get it where he is comfortable, but now he has it dialed in.

I was trying to rebuild the shocks today and reset the rebound, found that the shock caps are bleeding excessively and my rear right shock was even unable to put up any rebound, the shock cap top will bleed during compression. Should I get the optional shock cap without any hole for bleeding?

Has anyone tech'd the fuel capacity using the stock fuel line configuration per the manual? Just curious how close the capacity is to limitations to see if I can add an over sized fuel filter or have to toss something in the tank to reduce capacity.

With the fuel line it should be around 123cc.
