Default .2

So if tekno could respond would be cool but I was wondering if the .2 was on the drawing board yet since I would like to upgrade all the driveline components to light weight. At over 200 bucks for the parts , complete diffs for the new straight gears, angled gear box for rear. I don't mind the price but if 3 mos down the line a .2 comes out I rather pick up a new kit for around 200 more.

+1. They're cheap and you can get some bling with countersunk screws and cone washers.

That's exactly what I do. Whenever I need to restock my screw supply I buy several packs of ProTeks, it's much cheaper than buying a whole screw kit.

Back to my wheel discussion.......Update: I just recieved a couple sets of Avid Sabertooths, a set of JC Hazards, and I had a set of TLR 22SCT wheels. Haven't mounted them all up yet, but from a simple squish/bendy test, Avid is the most rigid, then the 22SCT, then the JC Hazards(more flex than I expected from these), ALL were still considerably better than the AKA Cyclones that come on their pre-mounts, I will not be buying those again. It's a shame, because I like the AKA tires, but the wheels are garbage.

I haven't had any wheel problems at all. Over the past 2 years have been using Losi or JC Hazard rims and never stripped or bent a wheel.

i guess it's possible that avid beefed them up but the first ones I bought were not as rigid as the 22SCT wheels (IMO the best wheels for this truck). the 22SCT's webbing will need to be trimmed for some front bumpsteer settings.

OT right her but I just got back from my Oncologists and I am Cancer free and in full remission. I like to think that getting back into this hobby over the past year helped me keep all that crap off my mind. Just thought I would share that with my Tekno peoples.

the 22sct wheels webbing also rubs the rear blocks.

Nothing wrong with making the truck your own to drive the way that works for you. One size does not fit all
Running the most popular setup works for some but not all. Some drive in and brake hard and some flow through the turn. Different tracks, different folks, different strokes.

Drive it stock configuration and setup & figure out if its right for you. Once you have driven it a few times and are getting a handle on what you do and don't like post up here to get feedback on how to improve it

Welcome and have fun with the truck!
