Right, but you applied settings on the right of hotwire not saved settings on the top? You probably did but the word save could mean that you have not applied the settings to the ESC.

All the suggestions are good and accurate so far.

Make sure you're hitting "apply settings" not saving a setup.

Got a few questions as I'm troubleshooting a problem I had in last weeks race of my brakes going out. Does the RX8 draw current from the battery when braking? I think I may have just had a voltage sag to low voltage out after I WOT the straight away and then had nothing to brake...

Not really. However if you were near LVC and you were braking and steering the whole system voltage could have come down.

What motor? Battery? Servo? Radio system? how many minutes into the run?

Sorry it took so long:
T8- 1900kv (current limiter at 80%)
Venom 4500 35C
Savox 1268 HV
Spektrum Dx2s with voltage protector
9 minutes into the main, but with a few minutes of practice before that....

It's the battery. A 4500 won't make 10 minutes in most cases. Also we recommend a minimum of 40c on our 1/8 Stuff....

You're hitting low voltage cut off.

What capacity would you consider for a minimum for 13 minutes or so then?

Default 12 / 67 LED

I just purchased a RX8 Gen2 ESC with the 4600 Tekin Pro4 motor combo. Got it all wired up, calibrated the radio and everything working fine. Took it out to the street for a test run and it went dead. LED 1,2 / 6,7 blinking. I have the HotWire setup, so I checked the motor type; Type 3. All other settings are stock/default.
I tried the Type 4 motor setting, no effect.
So what is my next course of action?
BTW, checked the data log and everything went to full stop at around 3 minutes. Battery still showed good and motor temp normal.

Thx,
Hog

Generally we shoot for 10 plus a few warm up laps. 6000mah or higher.

since it's a fresh install make sure you check the A B C wires for good connection and clean solder joints.

Default Rx8 gen 2

What is they latest software that is available? When I had the gen2 rx8 on Hotwire it said the software in it was 246. The site says that 244 is the newest software. I have been having trouble with it cutting out at about 4.5 min into a run. The steering still works but no throttle. If you let it sit for 30 seconds then it will go a little bit and then it stops again. Has steering no throttle. It throws a code of 1 4 7. But that code isn't in the manual nor on the website. Curious if anyone has had these issues.
