IMO, 6000mah for a big motor like 2250. 4600mah for 1700kv.

I was recommended to a 4500 pack by someone running your kind of setup and they get about what you are using...maybe my buggy is a little heavy, or maybe just my driving

I just bought a Serpent 811 BE 2.0 and I will be running a Tekin RX8 Gen 2 with a Tekin 1900 kv. Track I plan on running is an outdoor , not very good traction, not very technical has a 125' straight.

Can anyone suggest a good Tekin ESC setup to start?

I plan on running the stock setup for the Serpent to learn the buggy.

Any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't received the RX8 Gen 2 yet, I am ordering the hotwire for it, do I need to buy that extension as well, or does it come with the Gen 2?

Prt # Tekin Gen2 HotWire Adapter [TEKTT3825]

So is it correct that current limiter only tames the acceleration and not the top end/speed? I also have my timing at 0. Would it be good to try and run a few degrees of timing? I have rx8/ 1900. It runs fine but I am just trying to get ideas on how I may be able to dial it in more precisely.

Driving style and car weight have a LOT to do with the runtime.

I can get 10-12 on a 5000mah if I'm smart but if I drive like a pissed off teen ager forget it lol...

Lots of setups here: http://www.teamtekin.com/hotwire/ESC...up-sheets.html

And no the esc comes with the Hotwire adapter.

Ok thanks. Another question, I just put new bearing in my motor. While I had it apart I added a shim in front of the rear bearing because my motor has a lot of play. It took most of the play out but I am wondering if the shim will throw anything off inside the motor.

Are rx8 fires covered under warranty? I am remembering they are from another response on here, but want to be sure. RX8 got toasted after it appears a post came out luckily it didn't burn anything else except the body...

I was also told Tekin won't be back to work until the 6th, so no processing until then for warranties? I have a race I want to run, but it may be too late then.

No, but make sure there is some play in the motor.

If the post came out there's something to look at. Generally this is caused by taking too long to attach the wires to the posts using a insufficiently hot iron. Or the wires were too short on the install.

Sorry to hear that it happened either way though.

We are closed for the holidays however...

This is the list that I have, please can you tell me which would be consistent with the T8? many thanks to all.
