I just finished my first build of a B44.2 with the help of UN4RACING's sweet videos. I appreciate those videos, made something that seemed impossible very easy and informative.

Now the question: I have two motor/esc combos sitting here. I am wondering what would be the best one to use.

1. Dynamite Fuse 3300KV
2. Castle 3800KV

Any opinions on the motor and gearing?

Thanks in advance.

The Fuse ESC works fine in a wheeler, they are actually a lot smoother
than most people think. Make sure you set the Start Power, Throttle
Speed and timming back to there lowest settings. Also you will NEED a
fan. Either the Castle or Dynamite motor will work I just prefer the 3800.

It will also need to be geared up several teeth beyond the normal 6.5-8.5
gearing.

Here are my ESC settings

1.Brake Strength-3 (I would run this as low as possible to keep strain off the
diff gears)
2.Drag Brake-1= 0%
3.Throttle Speed-1= Very Soft
4.Start Power-1= Very Soft
5.Reverse Power-1= 0%
6.Run Mode-1= Forward Only
7.Motor Timing-2 =soft
8. Battery-4= light lipo discharge

Yeah I'm familiar with the BB/Durango conversion, that wasn't what I asked. I know AE was running gears at Worlds...I want to know who's gears they were.

No. You must adopt every new mod and kit that the pros use. Joking of course. Gear or ball diffs work well. Sold the 410 but liked it very much. More planted but my 44.2 feels a bit more agile. Mostly kept the 44 because I didn't need two wheelers.

I predicted many would run to switch to gear diffs but I don't see the necessity. Just wait for the b45 or b54 or whatever ae will call the next wheeler platform. They may consider gear diffs.

Car 54 where are you?

Ok, great.

How much of this should I be trying to limit via my Futaba 4PLS radio. I guess I am confused if it can be done via the esc or the radio. I would assume radio because it would be easier to make adjustments?

Thanks again for the info.

Ok thank.

Still learning this futaba 4pls. I swore there are settings to change throttle speed and start power but I guess those aren't the same as described in the esc. No where does it describe what the setting mean in the esc. still learning it.

Thanks for the info
