All their new red motors are awesome. I've yet to have any issues out of over 30 Trackstar motors I've bought new....

i had one of the silver can 7.5 in a stadium truck. i was not impressed. i have since replaced it with a tacon sensored 8.5 motor. way more torque and overal better feel.

Dont think im bashing trackstar. i have a sc120 esc and love it. just my expeierence with the silver can 1/10 was not good. now a backup motor.

im also thinking about getting the red can sensored 1/8 1900kv motor. how does these motors run unsensored mode.

I recently added the Trackstar 2650kv 1/8 motor to my arsenal. Appears it's a re-badged Tenshock 6 pole. It has a ***TON** of power even on 4s. Way more than I need for a track, but was the only one available within the Australian warehouse and I needed a motor in a hurry. So far, seems excellent.
Well, my 2650kv motor died on Monday... My dad was having a bash with my buggy and then *BANG*. Opened up the motor and one rotor magnet has separated and is now dragging on the inside of the can.

Well, I bought my first one (10.5t) after seeing a friend use one. I pulled it out of the box and played with the timing adjustment. It would only go 2 marks advance pass 0. It would go the full 5 marks of retard. I called my buddy up and asked if his timing adjustment was the same. He said he couldn't even move it. It took some effort on mine to at first, but moves easily enough now...just not pass 2 ticks advance.

Anyone run this motor for more than a couple months? How does it hold up?

I ran that motor in an RJ Speed LTO blinky pan car class last winter with a HobbyWing 60A 2.1 esc and plan to run the same this winter. It kept up just fine with the other random 17.5 motors from Novak, Tekin and Thunder Power and I don't think I ever saw the motor temp over 115F. I think the only difference between this motor and mine is the color. Mine is gray.

I do not believe they have ROAR certification.

We just bought two of these. My son will be running one tomorrow in the 22. I have heard really good things about them so we are giving them a try.

My son has a red can 2100kv I picked up from a member here. The one you have to solder wires onto the board, sensored mtr, running unsensored Thing runs strong in an EMaxx and now a converted Revo. Runs downright cool on 3S.
I have a Turnigy 2560 6 pole, I assume 1st gen 2650, runs hotter than his, on 2S,3S, or 4S. Runs 160+ or so romping around. Sustained speed runs really climbs the temps, even put a finned heatsink on it.
My next one will be a 4 pole red can.

Yes for sure. He always helps when it comes to builds along with the support there after. Pretty simple compared to building an 8th scale with the exception of all the electronics.

Mounting 10th scale tires was interesting.

Going to be fun!!!!!

I have their 5.5T 540 motor installed in my DEX410v3 and a 5.5T 550 SCT motor in my SC10 4x4. Lots of speed and torque. These motors will work with both sensored & non-sensored ESC's.

I bought a silver can 17.5 thought it was a good price. But mine was a lemon. It never touched the ground while bench testing it would smoke and over heat. I took it apart, the rotor and sensor board look really cheap compared to my novak. I sent it back for a refund.
