Tekno SCT410 Thread
I dont want 2wd bad enough to mess w my 4wd haha and that would be awfully heavy relative to the competition, thats like Bowser vs the Princess in mario kart.
From my understanding that diff is for the nitro cars only because they needed the clearance for the motors. What I was referring to was the Alum pivots and bushings, and lightened outdrives. From my understanding if it fits BOTH cars its on the NB and EB.2 I may be wrong but that's my understanding.
that said i do love the new angled housing, great relatively cheap purchase/upgrade

I design and build custom guns for a living and would never let something out that looked or was designed bad........... Bad business in my book.
Just sayin
RLMAO ! Come on .......REALLY ? There is NOTHING wrong with the design of the old rear diff housing , it doesnt bind when rolling , and everything lines up correctly . Tekno saw an area that could be improved and they did it , plain and simple .... It doesn't mean the part was bad from the beginning .
How many other companies do you know that change/fix parts within the first year of a models release ?

I'm over it and it's not a big deal to some but for the $ they charge for this kit it should be right.. Don't care about any other products since this is the Tekno forum...
Nothing else to say on this subject.......
Why would I cut them slack for something this stupid? They fixed the problem and make you pay for it...If you think that's cool then so be it. other wise the truck is fine.. I'm happy (except for this)

and not to repeat myself but there wasn't a problem, i ran it for 6 months and never had anymore wear than any other truck Ive owned that and many other drivelines have more degree than that, they saw a chance to improve themselves and they did it, if you truly design custom guns, I am willing to bet my house that you made a gun and at the end said "this is an awesome gun and next time if add this detail it would be even better" and if you havent then I guarantee your business is going nowhere fast.
Hmmm soo wierd cause I'm still run stock diff case and not eating pins....
I've been running mine every week since May, with practice during week and races on weekends and the pins still are fine
Atleast Tekno responds and looks at the issues and even gives an update for updated parts. Some other rc MFGs dont even bother doing that and only care about selling more kits.
Hell look at the EB48.2 they could have easily said here's the separate upgrade kit you have to buy, but they didn't they included some $200-300 worth of upgrades into the standard kit and didn't even change the price. And to top it all off, those that had the .1 on back order received the .2 with upgrades.... thats pretty sweet.

Thought I'd chime in here.
I've been running my SC for about 2.5 months now and with regularity....not just on the weekends.
My rear pins were toast. I just installed a new one last night and plan to purchase the new case.
I think it sucks the case was designed wrong or not optimally but that's life. Not everything comes out perfect the first time around and luckily the fix isn't expensive.
I for one am over it. Lets not debate this stupid issue but lets talk about what you've found to make this truck faster.
