Kurt has not started producing his own products for market yet, he just left AVID. When he begins to sell stuff you will definitely hear about it.

I'm new to the b4 and 1/10 buggy in general, but have built several FT kits including the SC10 so it was a really similar build. I got the horn lined up and trimmed and and used calipers to set links, and all that good stuff, my issue is that the max travel is blocked when the arms are in full droop as set per the instructions, but I get another 5% or so when the arms are level.

I'm fairly sure that I build something wrong, but just wanted to check if this was normal and just needed to set epa at full droop instead.

i just got a used car from one of georges locals with this exact setup on it. havent raced 2w buggy in 3 years, after one practice session in a brand new car i qualified mid B main in a 33 car field. this setup works for stock or mod.

give Cherry a break, he may be a ass sometimes but when it comes to setups he knows what hes talking about. 10's of thousands of laps......
Just because others don't mention the "Team", that doesn't mean that we don't race with them.

I'd love to have an RC Tech Clash to get others around here to put up or shut up.

LOL

You mean Kurt Wenger. I've not seen or heard anything official or a public release of any sort giving specifics, but if you read a few pages back he is said to be starting his very own company and will be releasing a multitude of upgrades, most notable being a Narrow Chassis upgrade for the B4 as well as a few other tidbits initially. Hopefully he works his way up to putting out his very own kit.

I was personally waiting for Avid to release their own car, which is still not out of the question being as they very well may have something already in the works that Kurt designed. However, given Kurt's track record, while it may be good, not having him there to further refine and develop such a design is a bit discouraging. Guess time will tell.

I would like to see AVID and Tekno do a merger and become the next huge brand

The question is simple. George are you a sponsored Team Associated driver?

If yes, post away.

If no, then you're using the term teammate so you yourself can get undeserved attention and credibility.

It's a simple yes or no question. Man up and answer it or stop making BS claims.
I'll be the first to admit that WC can get a little AE fanboy'ish, however, one thing we should remember is that just because he' not as fast as the top pro's doesn't mean he's not able to give good setup advice... Just a thought...

Actually, Newey is a great engineer who is extremely clever and also has a keen eye for design, but setup is a whole other story and to get the setup right is a collaboration between the drivers and the army of race engineers. As well, RC and F1 are vastly different in too many ways to make a valid comparison. Perhaps one day when full scale cars can go 400-500 MPH and smack into walls and keep right on going and drivers can such impacts at those insane speeds, perhaps then we'd have a valid basis for comparison between the 2.

And of course, I know you weren't being literal. Just offering up info for anyone believing it whole heartedly.

I just can't accept advice from someone with a resume like that. That's all I'm saying, and have said for a long time now. Sounds to me like he's a rockstar by association, and not because he himself is a rockstar. just my .02
You aren't serious are you? I don't know WC but just because he doesn't win doesn't mean he doesn't have something to add. If you dont like it, dont use it. Go to a SX race and walk the pits. Most of those guys wrenching know that bike inside and out but were just not able to keep up with guys like Dungey on the track. Trust me when i had a factory mechanic offer to help me when i raced old fat guy mx, i didnt say no thanks and go ask his rider.

George, I appreciate your knowledge sharing. The effort you put into this is much appreciated. The only thing I would suggest is working on your delivery a bit.

Three pages of bickering and about 4 useful posts....unsubscribing.

Some use chapstick on the idler or replace it. How old is your idler?
