yeah, but I really like that they are going full out to adjust to the sugar worlds. AE has always gone full out in the world....remember the stealth car, lol. Maifield is racing anywhere he can mid motor it seems. Good to see BT head over to the Tumble weed race to get some laps on the sugar also.

They are busy getting ready for the worlds. Was good to see maifield clean up. I know he is putting in the work for the worlds, I seriously hope it pays off. Cav can have second, lol.

It's going to be hard to resist picking one up. I really want to see what Avid has up their sleeve though.

yeah, I was about to sell my b4, then i heard about the avid products come and I am curious. I will probably just shelf my b4 for a bit and wait. Mid motor probably wont work locally, but avids RM alum chassis is interesting. I am wondering if that weight down low and the slightly longer chassis might resolve some of my issues with the b4.

what the RM alum chassis? or the c4.2, lol. I often run my b4 a little heavy at CV to calm it down. Mostly with a shorty and weight in the tray. But I wonder if the weight even lower might be better. And yeah, most of my issues are at CV, lol. I ran HT last week and CH a few weeks ago and the b4 was great. With avid about to release a bunch of stuff according to rumor, I will keep my b4 and just work on my kids buggy for now.

The C4.2. Maifield was running sauced Blues at the Clash...I would run the same thing at CH. He said earlier in the weekend that the bite wasn't that great and he would have to resort to saucing...which he wasn't happy about.

yeah, from the pics, it looked like the sauced the rears and the inside half of the fronts. I saw the blues in the rear and was kinda surprised. Does he not like to sauce? or was he unhappy about something else?

Sauce is artificial traction...It never lasts the entire 5 mins and depending on the type it can break down the foam quicker.

yeah, I was thinking about saucing, but i talked to Chuck and I think I am going to just use softer compounds when I race outdoors. My main issue is probably not replacing tires soon enough. The tires I ran last weekend were maked as mounted on 1/8, lol. they were bagged for a few months, but I still probably have 12-15 weekends on them.

I would never use sauce outdoors at a place like CV...As soon as some dirt gets on the tire it wouldn't be of a benefit. I will probably end up using some of Brian's sauce at CH when I come next month though. The track 'should' be pretty decent with dust and it should help a bit.

I was wanting to actually soften the rubber, permanently. More like a conditioner, not surface traction. But, yeah I know what you mean about it being temporary. I was more concerned with washing and the dry air in AZ hardening the rubber. Kinda like what happens to car tires, when they dry rot, but to a lesser degree.
