They probably felt it offered an advantage over the rear motor car for the conditions seen.
Be curious how much different in lap times they were having with the rear motor car versus mid motor.

yeah lap times between the 2 would be nice. i am just upset that they didn't win and I guess I am blaming the mid motor conversion.

Well mr. ive never got whooped on my a mid motor. I did not think it was possible until a guy whooped on me by changing tires and springs, from his outdoor set up to his indoor set up ran a mid motor. So they did it because its better than rear motor in most things, also they are saying that the c4.2 has a shit house of traction all around

Most of the positions lost were due to bobbles or crashes, the AE mid motor cars were just as fast as anyone else on the track. Cav got mixed up with Tebo then caught his wing on a marshal's foot and couldn't gain his ground back. Maifield was bumper to backdoor on Tebo the last lap and a half of the A2, but couldn't pass him....it happens. Phend who won the nationals at the same location with a rear motor car didn't even make the A Main.....another great driver just didn't happen.

Set Up Tip
Those of you who are using the shelf should stick with the current rear camber link location ...
If you are running the ESC in the center & inside the battery tray ?
Try moving to the outer stud hole on the rear chassis U brace for improved rotation in the turns ...

Quick question. Putting big bores on a 4.1wc. Which number spring cups do I use for the front and rear. Says plus 5 but I don't see any number 5's. Also hav some rpm ballcups. They say 4-40 size, are they the correct ones

i would suggest if your running outdoor getting the jconcepts wing it just works i dont have a clue why but it does, but if you dont try it with the full wing and then cut it down for outdoor of course, if your running indoor, i liked the biggest wing possible but depends on your track

I'm with you jake
When I learned through the grapevine of the avid chassis I ordered a b4. If it wasn't for kurt I wouldn't even bother with the ae car (just my preference. Not say the ae is bad. Just never suited me)
