So for the taper pistions which way do I want the taper facing for more pack?

The taper doesn't affect pack. It affects the speed of compression or rebound. Pack is affected by oil, piston hole size and count.

The standard is to face the taper down so you have faster rebound.

Oo I thought it would add more or less pack depending which way the taper was. Im gonna be running 3 hole 1.4 pistions on our outdoor carpet track with some pretty big jumps

My son painted his. Did you paint yours on the outside? Can't tell from the pics but it looks sharp painted on the inside.
