Was debating firing up my old CRC T-Force using these packs.
I believe that Chris Moore of Phx., AZ. has used them, send him a PM. He has posted on the last couple of pages.

Can't go wrong with a Tekin RS Pro or RS Gen 2. Speedpassion makes a good ESC as well.

SP GT2.1EX is my favorite.
No need for extras like a voltage regulator to clutter up the build.

I've used them. They work well. The capacity isn't as great as the latest cells, but in all other respects I found them comparable to similar stick cells.

The Tekin RS and RS Pro require a booster or receiver battery to work with 1s batteries. Speed Passion's latest ESCs, the Reventon series, also need a booster or receiver pack. SP's GT V2.1 EX will work with a 1s without anything extra.

The Hobbywing v3.1 1s is great, the cap and switch are built into the case. ORCA, Viper and Team Orion also make great 1s speed controls that don't require any booster or receiver pack. Hobbywing also has their original 1s ESC for about $100 or less right now.

Default Duo 2 13.5 Blinky

Anyone by any chance have run a Duo 2 13.5 blinky and have a good setup for motor timing and rollout they found to be pretty fast and stay somewhat cool temperature wise? Using a Hobbywing V3.1 1S Speedo for this.

Thanks,

Ivan

These questions are mainly to the 1/12 drivers who race outdoors on asphalt;

What tyre compounds have you found best to use?

What additives work on asphalt, and which don't?

Paragon is a no-no, as are any other additives with 'wintergreen'

Thanks

For relatively low-traction asphalt, blown off and with sugar water, I ran pink rears and pink (or one step harder) fronts. I also ran them full-size, as it helps with traction, and I'm cheap, so I want maximum life.

Running soft side springs will help with traction. If the surface is very slick, you can leave them out altogether.

Non-detergent 30W motor oil works reasonably well for tire glop, and is very cheap!

I'd try Pink rears and Purple front to start. Coppertone or other brand 30 - 50 SPF sunscreen works pretty well for tyre goop.
