Sensors problem... the ESC detects a sensors signal problem and disables boost/turbo. Check your sensors cable and motor sensors board. Some motors give a stronger and better signal, others have problems with the ESC signal detection.

Blinking green is temp but it can also state damaged sensor cable or faulty hall sensors damaged or dirty.pull your motor apart and give it areally good clean.

I have a 2.1 with the same issue. It also lacks a lot of power.
Does the damaged mosfet limit the power output also?

Is it possible to get the manufacturer part# for the Mosfet?

This may sound like a silly question, is there any way/place to buy the Hobbywing decals just by themselves? (especially the newer ones)

I don't want to go out and buy another motor or esc just to get the decals.

Cheers
Rob.

Hey everyone

I just got my Hobbywing Xtreme Stock 60A esc for my Tamiya TA06 Pro. Using it with a Speed Passion Competition V3.0 13.5t Motor. I haven't been able to drive it yet as I need my shorty LiPo batteries to arrive so I can fit a battery inside the car. From a bench test, the power seems to have doubled! I am running whatever settings the esc came with as I don't have the program box (yet). The Motor is on 0 mechanical timing.

I'm super excited about this turbo/timing stuff as this is my first sensored esc.

I have it geared at 6.41fdr, stock esc settings, seems right?

To use/run an lrp x12 motor (13.5 boosted) with my hw v3 would I need to gear high or low and with what kind of boost/turbo settings??? I know lots that run x12's with the lrp ecs's and they use 4 dot insert and fdr around 7 to 8, some even at 8.2 at my club and they not slow at all. Would I have to try to replicate there lrp esc set up on my v3????
Some help would be grately appreciated

X-12 is a torque type motor so you want to be gearing around 6.0, maybe a little lower (5.8) not sure why the people are running gearing at 8 at your track, thats around where you gear for mod motors...
Run the 4 dot insert

Boost 40
Turbo 24
Start Rpm 4000
End rpm 20 000
Turbo delay 0.1
Turbo engage 30
Disengage 24
Boost by throttle: Yes
Turbo activation: full th
Drag brake =0
Intial brake = drag brake
These SHOULD work, i've tweaked general 13.5 settings to suit the motor...
It will probably get hot as all LRPs do, make sure you run atleast one fan (something powerful like yeah racing tornado) if not two fans. Make sure you temp the motor every 2 minutes while testing for 6 minutes for temp. If it's above 90 degrees C its too hot.
See how that goes, pm me or post here if you need help after that.
Btw I'm not responsible if you blow your motor...

I am running a stock spec V3.1 with a Hobbywing V10 17.5 motor. What temp do you recommend setting the motor overheat protection at?

I emailed HW North America about this. They said their v10 motors are rated to run up to 100c/212f. The manual also states that the motor should not exceed 212f so that's the upper limit that I'd go to.

As an aside, I ran mine up to 192/89c when my fan broke and the motor didn't have that burnt electronics smell that usually happens with hot motors.

THe manual says not to let the motor case get over 212f. The esc is measuring internal temp which I think will be higher. I have checked the case temp on mine and it is 130f and the esc says that it got to about 170f. I have the motor shutoff set at 105c and it shut off but the case wasn't nearly that hot.
